Seko Fofana is the ultimate box to box midfielder for an ambitious PL club. His Saudi club are trying to move him on, he'd be incredible, ticks all the boxes and very experienced. Adem Zorgane from Charleroi is another one who's impressed me (more so last season than this season) but has the required attributes for the role.

O'Hare and Sensi are the obvious ones.

If we couldn't afford Sensi on a free transfer with a €2m bonus on promotion then not so sure of the veracity of this.

Let's say we are tight for 22/23 but just scrape it. If we breached 23/24 (EFL) but are in the Prem when it happens, what would be our punishment? Would we get our heads kicked in as soon as we get relegated again or will it be applied whilst in the Prem? Obviously all hypothetical as we might be absolutely fine but it's hard to track how it'll be judged when you're yo-yoing.

He's having a quiet season, is he struggling with injury?

We'd be absolutely shafted if this were the case.

I wouldn't rule Ipswich out just yet, the signing of Kieffer Moore and the way they play may well kick start them again. I think they're up against it to stick with the 3 of us but you never know. They'll get 25-30 points between now and the end of the season I reckon.

He won't get better wages than he's currently getting here, even with a 40% pay cut from what he was on in the Prem. That said, you'd wait it out as him and his agent will pocket a bit more than they might if he was sold now.

I listened to talksport over the weekend and there was a journalist on from one of the Liverpool local rags. They were moaning that one of the problems is the time it takes for all this to be finalised and its unacceptable for the current process. How else could it be done given clubs delay as long as possible by putting in appeals (what Everton did to prevent it being confirmed last season) and then appeal again which is now the cause of it still being resolved. How about don't appeal and accept it then?

If another club had achieved what we'd achieved and did what we did (clappers, leave early all the while, take blankets the games, grown adults dripping in club shop regalia) then we'd be screaming tin pot. We are pure tin pot. But we're our tin pot. I'm proud to be tin pot.

Unfortunately, players have to have been a free agent before the transfer window closing. So they had to have been released by COP 1st February 2024. Yes, I am very boring at parties.

Surprised Roberto Soriano has been without a club since the summer, maybe Enzo will give him a chance for the rest of the season. Was class a few years ago.

You can't blame Leeds for us offering him over £100k a week (as quoted by Phil Hay) despite our financial issues thr previous summer.

This is a good point as it'll be a sign his usage of the ball is improving. When he's played as a winger he's really struggled to execute crosses or passes except for the more simpler stuff. If he can fine tune this and stay calm in the attacking third then I think it will come.

Daka is good enough for the PL.

Quite possibly, better cheese in a can options in Holland as well.

He is highly rated. We made quite the effort to get him to England and we don't tend to make too many overseas academy signings (when it was much easier to) but those we do we have e decent success with (Iversen, Stolarczyk, Sowah and possibly Booth. Odunze wasnt exactly a failure either) He didn't seem to play much for the U18s for a while and then reappeared and when he was with the U21s on and off last season he looked impressive. Not actually sure what his best position is, I thought it was central midfield but I've seen him play as a false 9 and on the wing too.

And the Maddison sale will hit 22/23.

Yeah pretty sure someone with links to the academy on here mentioned him a while back. Bart Kosiorek too.

I think Enzo's from the school of Pep with academy players and sees keeping hold of them more beneficial to the player and their progression in the system we play, than a loan. Depends though as the PL will be a tough change for us but I think he'll be 1st choice by then or close to being.
