Hmmmmmm reading Percy's article this morning, I don't see this happening without us selling someone. Casadei going back doesn't seem to have helped, only made it worse that we are another player down and scuppered financially. The rumblings of our financial problems is starting to feel somewhat familiar, hope this isn't the sign of major problems come the summer. Imperative we get promoted, even if just to get the increased revenue to try and clear the decks and rebuild at a much smaller level. Future looks bleak.

Great interview. I know his sons loosely as all of them grew up in the same area I'm from. Bit before my time was Milne but my Dad speaks pretty fondly of him.

Interesting match up this is. Both teams likely to be without some key players, especially in central midfield. Does Doyle come back in to give us better passing angles out of their press and his diagonal long balls up to McAteer and Cannon have borne fruit this season. However he'll be targeted by their strength out wide. I'm not sure what we're best to do in the middle of the park, I'm going to presume KDH will make it as otherwise it's a scary prospect. I quite like the ide of McAteer in the 8 with someone trusted like Albrighton out wide, but then again Yunus seems to have freed up Cannon really well in the games vs Huddersfield and Millwall. I just struggle to envisage a midfield of KDH and Yunus, certainly not against 2nd in the league. He's not yet done it this season but Winks could always move forward and Hamza anchor the midfield alongside Ricardo, who himself might be used as the 8. So many options, despite us badly needing at least 1 new central midfielder through the door.

If what @CosbehFox was told before Christmas that we need to cash in on someone this summer, even if we go up then I suspect KDH will be the only sellable asset. Unfortunately the news we have to sell this month adds fuel to this fire and I wonder if what's happened to Everton and Forest has quickened this requirement for if and when we go back up. Scary how few options we actually have to raise money if we are in the shit. Hermansen is well regarded by us but if we need £20-30m + then wheres it coming from?

Can't wait to have him back to be honest, bagsman.

The one benefit of having partial hearing loss, I can scare police horses with my volume. -
You've had two poor spells. At the start and then either side of the 4-0 drubbing of Ipswich you lost 3 and drew 1. Most seasons your form would be scratching 2nd and you may well still be good for a top 2 spot but I genuinely think you'd be better off if Farke was removed.

Hahahahahaaaa I can't see many of the live episodes staying up without the need for some editing. 😂😂 -
Ünder has gone there..... To be fair, Turkish football is having a bit of a renaissance in the quality of players it's attracting. Not just a retirement ground for players from Europe, there is a but more to the recruitment than the past decade.

Agreed. But I repeat, we are several players down and especially in Central midfield we look vulnerable. That needs to be corrected this month, if it isn't and we do struggle then it's unforgivable.
-
Yeah, my only concern is how we deal with our 10+ point lead being wiped out (if that happens before Southampton's tough run and our easier run in). Pressure would have mounted and I'm also concerned about our squad, we need 1 or 2 in this month to deal with the rest of the season.

Either way, we need 1, possibly 2 central midfielders now. If the Sensi deal is difficult to do without selling someone then go and loan 2 midfielders in. Andrey Santos or Mahmoud Dahoud please, neither are getting a sniff.

This is a huge game. I think we can reasonably assume that with Southampton's fixture list and the momentum they've currently got, that they'll be pushing us between now and mid March. We do not want other clubs also pushing close to us if we can help it. Beating Ipswich tomorrow keeps them at bay and then we have winnable fixtures up until we play Leeds away. I do feel like we need some big performances and results from the remaining games against the top 4, it's the one big question mark so far for me. Start with a win tomorrow please.
-
Hahahaa I actually think I'd rather Cov come up with us than Brussell.
-
I can kind of see that, Emery has at times throughout his career favoured another forward who plays behind the main striker. I actually think that's Cameron Archer's best role and he's more advanced in his development than Rogers. But they are different in some ways, Rogers is very strong too.
-
It'll be fascinating, their fixture list is quite astonishing how it's been compiled. They may well put themselves firmly in the top 2 and very close to us, possibly even overtake us and then they have an extremely hard run in. But perhaps by then they have the momentum and confidence to see it through. It won't come as a surprise but Martin strikes me as a manager who has a weakness when in a position to kick on and achieve success. I still think they'll end up 3rd or 4th but I've been wrong many times before and my dislike of him is probably blinkering me.

I think we're the classic example of so far being pretty much wire to wire and it gets boring and we get dismissed. We win on Monday and despite Sourhampton being on a 20 game unbeaten run, they'd have 1 more point than us over that period. Astonishing. I think the art of us is that we are annoyingly efficient. A team that's done what we've done, the standards depict we should be utterly flawless in defence and attack but we clearly aren't. I'd say we are exactly what I'd expect from an Italian coach who knows what they're doing. I hope we start to get dismissed and disrespected as we're rhe one constant. I watched Southampton today and they were unbelievably fortune rhe last 20 minutes, could have lost it let alone won it by 2 goals!!!!

We'd murder them on the counter again. Martin holds grudges and the whipping we gave them a few months ago would play right in to our hands again.
-
To be fair, Maresca wants one of his 8's to play an hour every game and then bring a different option on. That tends to be Ndidi who is taken off after an hour. It's a big gamble this is, I hope there's a sensible shake hands clause in this deal.

Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21
Ric Flair replied to Ryy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Reece Evans development has been bizarre. Was lethal at U18s level and then rather than promote him to the U21s he's now only a sub for the U18s this season. Surprising. -
There's got to have been a setback. He was training with Alves and was told he was close to a return for the U21s and then nothing now for 2 months.

Like a young Marc Albrighton but with a but more panache.
