With Daka and Ayew's contracts up in the summer and Carranza on a loan with no option and jury very much out, I think all 3 will be considered not part of the future of this club and at least one will be off.

The priority has to be a 6ft+ striker with pace and a solid 1st touch.

With Bobby Reid likely out for a few weeks, i'd hope Evans got his spot but it'll be Kristiansen 😂 -
Am I correct in thinking when they met with the club a while ago they basically said that gambling companies pay us a lot of money so tough or something to that effect. Absolutely harrowing.
-
Not sure, it's probably not the game you throw him in, but the fact he's not been on the bench rhe last 5-6 games is toss.
-
He's excellent in the air, of our 4 defenders i'd go Nelson, Vestergaard, Faes and Okoli when it comes to who is best in the air.
-
This! They've let him down last night but if this carries on then more fool him. If he doesn'r shake things up Tuesday night i'll be disappointed.
-
The ideal scenario is Mavididi finds his form and Monga gets 20-30 most games and racks up his goal contributions against tired and out of position defences. Mix that in with a few starts every 4-6 weeks aa the games are thick and fast. Neither seem to be spurring the other on, Monga's explosive impact in the 1st 4 games seemed to crush Stephy not drive him to up his game.

Monga has outgrown the U17s and is currently playing U19s, maybe they'll try and select players who've stepped up groups but most won't have 1st team football responsibilities. Page plays U20s and Evans bizarrely has had no England recognition in the last few years. -
Disagree. However, his minutes should be managed, with a mix of starts and subs. He's been better than Mavididi this season, had Stephy been on it like we know he is capable of then the starts would have been fewer.
-
Bang on. Monga seemed not at the races from minute one, summed up by that shot towards the end of the 1st half where he just waan't switched on to focus and pick his spot. We'll have games like this from him, and to be honest he's going through a quiet period the more minutes he plays, progression is not always visibly linear. The match winning moments will come.

https://josimarfootball.com/2023/03/30/entering-the-matrix-via-the-midlands/ https://josimarfootball.com/2025/07/21/running-like-a-fox/ Not to the level we are. Have a read through these articles, it makes for grim reading. We are super charged and relentless at it, absolutely no shame.

What's majorly odd is we've gone from being anonymous 1st half in games to then getting a reaction 2nd half where subs have had an impact to being decent 1st half and then the absolute pits 2nd half. His subs in recent games have been horrifying. Although I think thats because the starting XI is more aligned with our best players which leaves a honking bench. That 2nd half performance was unacceptable. We pushed for a winner in the closing stages and tried but from 46 - 70-75 mins we were lethargic, uninterested and deserved to lose. Cifuentes has either badly been let down by the players 2nd half or he's the problem. You don't get as annoyed by the Wrexham outcome and as recently this week still keep referencing it and at half time last night not hammer the players to maintain performance levels and attitude. If he has done that then he must be livid with them and I want to start seeing some major changes to this squad.
-
This lot haven't got the minerals to win this, be lucky if we scab a draw. I see them scoring at least twice as it'll be food and drink for a striker who likes attacking crosses like McBurnie.
-
My mind is made up on Cifuentes, he's bang average. Would he make sense if he was building a young squad around a nucleus of our best academy players such as Nelson, Aluko, Page, Monga etc? Yeah and you take the rough with the smooth over the short to medium term, step off the ideology we simply have to get promoted every time we're at this level. Does he make sense going against the track record he supposedly had at other clubs of utilising the academy - despite this being our golden generation of academy talent? Not really no. It's just very workmanlike and middle of the road EFL guff. I don't see what the plan is? I'm not overly happy with a promotion shot with the same failed players who a chunk won't be here next season, even if we achieved it. Then what? Last season was hideous, I don't want to go back up like this. I want us to rebuild properly at this level, but that probably required significant changes off the field in directorship and ownership to sign it off. We won't achieve the former either, so we wait to decline further and likely waste any last glimmer of hope that this club has from our academy as we ensconce ourselves in the lower leagues. Life under Aiyawatt. Conclusion, would not lose any sleep over Cifuentes going. Probably little point in getting rid right now but i've no burning affiliation with him. He'll barely register in my memory in later years i'm sure.

What wpuld be service to him out of interest because Ramsey and James have been class at attacking the space in the attacking third and opening up the pitch for our front three. Hopefully that leads to more chances for him but tonight is probably the most active i've seen our attack.
-
Set pieces aside, liked a lot of our play so far. James and Ramsey have got in to some superb positions to attack the final third, makes it so much more fluent for attacking when you have that dynamic.
-
Enjoyed that, Ramsey has been class since his goal. Monga probably the only one not really at it yet tonight. Need a 2nd.
-
Aaron Ramsdale
-
Good to see we've utilised the international break to make our set piece delivery even worse than it previously was.
-
Mousinho is a very shrewd coach. Need to be on it tonight from minute 1 to the final whistle.
-
Keen to see if Carranza presses well.
-
Morals out the window then, unfortunately we'll have to agree to disagree on that one. It's our fault in the first place our finances are in a shit state. Selling our soul to keep the wolf from the door doesn't get a pass from me.
-
What on earth you on about? In an ideal world our government tightens the restrictions on this and less of an onus on the public and companies havibg to act morally against them but they still have a responsibility which our club chooses to ignore for greed.
-
Got a horrible feeling about tonight. Mousinho had Marti home amd away last season, I hope it's 3rd time lucky.
