It isn't. As many have said, if advertising had little effect in gambling then these firms would not be spending hundreds of millions doing so. They do it because it is one of the industries and products that is so so effective but more importantly for them, it hones in on the small % they earn the majority of their profits from. So whilst there's such a lack of restrictions on the way they operate, it's too easy for them. There's published reports and inquiries on the around the world, it was laid in the hpuse of commons. I could go on and on about the despicable tactics these firms use to prey on the vulnerable. But yeah, doesn't have an impact 🙃

Such an idiotic outlook. You're a prat then.

Really rate Mousinho as a coach, hopefully Cifuentes can outsmart him but he didn't last season. Pompey beat them home and away.
-
Given most of our goals are long range this season, we need to look closer to home first.

They're doing all can be asked of them. Over to the club to execute action over a load of piss and wind. -
Not going to read my post above then? Piss off

It would be good if The Trust and others clarified why this is so unacceptable as well. People may roll their eyes at " gambling " being lauded as obscene, when that is missing the point. The act of gambling is not the problem and shouldn't be miscontrued as such. It is the carte blanche a lot of these firms are given, to do what they like to prey on the vulnerable. When there's a dynamic that sees an industry create the majority of its profits from a very small percentage of gamblers (what can be identified as the problem gamblers - see this from the house of commons) then it's a very dangerous and concerning issue. Not only are lives at stake but families, communities and more. Some of the tactics are no different to that of a drug dealer and yet one is illegal and the other is ignored and even normalised by the powers that be in this country. I do not say this lightly, yes I am potentially biased as i've experienced this myself and could have destroyed my life but I was one of the fortunates ones and i'll work relentlessly to ensure that remains that way. So when we are getting in to bed with an even murkier operator than the established firms who I have described their antics above, it's tantamount to a public outcry and that's what needs to be pointed out here. Whilst i've got you, a lot of the algorithms and platforms of gambling are used in the glutony of kids games that are being built on tablets and phones as well and what is even scarier is that some of these are sister companies of gambling firms themselves. It is beyond deplorable. Our club should be ashamed of themselves. I'll stop before i blow a gasket.

Just when I didn't think my football club could stoop any lower. Embarrassed and disgusted. I would rather be a non-league football club if it meant we could be free of Aiyawatt. How has it come to this. Reputation tarnished beyond repair now with me.

The famous one that sticks out is Pearson with Albrighton. I've also never fully forgiven him for his use of Max Gradel too 😂😂

The irony is, Kevon Gray is an extremely talented centre half who's already impressed the senior team coaches. Aluko is already England U20s and on the cusp of the 1st team and not responsible obviously for a few of these collapses but it's a little odd. -

Really got back up to speed at this level again. He's got to keep applying the pressure and whilst our strikers continue to provide very little in terms of goals will put heat on Cifuentes to make some brave decisions. -

I'm pretty sure it's been reported but that there's no relation. -
By that statement, managers never get selection problems wrong then. Managers get things wrong all the time, is Cifuentes wrong on this? Maybe, maybe not. There's some fair questioning on this as he's not some novice, he's proven at this level to go with massive potential. It is plausible the manager has currently got this wrong. No issue with fans wanting to have faith in the managers call on this, but I am not having it myself. It'sthee one main query I have on Marti at the min, hopefully he actions his words on the academy stuff.

There's got to be part of Nelson that's immensely frustrated. He's been on the fringes of our first team since he was 16/17. 5 years later he's done all the hard years on loan and aced everything thats been asked of him. He's excelled at this level, he's also got on his CV games for us at this level in a promotion chasing side to boot. He'll likely feel he's got everything boxed off as much as he can and yet he still is no nearer to being used in the first team as he was 2 years ago. He'll also be aware we've rejected bids from bigger clubs and I highly suspect theres been conversations about his future given his contract situation. All of it is not in anyway ideal for one of our most well regarded academy players with tangible experience across the EFL leagues at his age. You could almost begrudge it under a manager who's got no appetite for academy development, but we're told we've one of the best around for being brave and playing them. I think this is the one thing Cifuentes has wrong currently. I can agree to disagree on demoting Page as soon as they've convinced him to sign a new deal, despite how the optics may look. This is just an all round decision right now.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

There was very little joined up thinking. Stick with Rodgers because it was too costly to sack him. But not provide any funds for signings in the summer of 2022, despite making £50m on Fofana. Nor sell any of the increasing number of players approaching less than a year on their contracts who were rendered almost useless that season (Perez, Soyuncu, Amartey, Tielemans, Mendy, Evans) not to mention pratting about with bids received for Vestergaard, Soumare, Praet. We were heading for disaster, i'm yet to see anyone offer a viable defence for how this happened. -
I want Braybrooke playing a whole season of football even at League Two level. Cartwright is a shout though, especially if there is still uncertainty on his contract here after the summer, could work his way in to our team and that sirts itself surely. Page is the most likely and it's important we get his development right, whilst many will say he's only just 17, it can harm some players holding them back as momentum and marginal gains are lost. He's got the physical ingredients to play first team already.
-
Good player but not sure he is really what we need whilst we still have the likes of Soumare, Skipp and Winks. If Winks went and he came in on sensible wages then it could be logical but probably been offered him due to us getting James from the same club as we seem to be influenced by agents quite a lot.

Rodgers signed his massive contract 18 months before winning the FA Cup and was therefore sat on a near guaranteed £50m* as it was to be paid over his 5 year deal/or remainder in full in the year of sacking if occurred. *based on unconfirmed media reports that his sacking cost around £20m which was equal to the remainder of his contract. Lets hope Cifuentes and Calm have spent the last two weeks working tirelessly with Ramsay and Carranza, need them to step up and produce.

Agreed

I've had some absolute shockers but for every Tete and Daka i've made predictions like Arne Slot being an elite coach several years ago. Throw enough shit and it'll eventually stick 🤪
