  1. Sweet dreams are made of Keith's
  2. Despite about 80% of the U21s not in the squad, Hutchinson still only on the bench. Beyond bizarre.
  3. Hahahaa Jord rumbled me an'all and I denied it 😂😂😂😂😂
  4. DJ PLAY ONE FOR THE BAD MAN
  5. Burnley also kept 20+ clean sheets which negated a lack of goals. Our xG for and against makes for quite scary reading.
  6. 7th Dec it is then, might do the Inter v Como game the day before too.
  7. As you say, our keeper is arguably the biggest outlier currently. He got slated for Preston and Oxford but the amount of big chances this side is affording rhe opposition has gone unnoticed by many!
  8. And finally what was Leeds xG at the same point last season compared to ours? Leeds were always massively wasteful in the two years they were in the Championship. My concern is that an assumption we will score/create more eventually, i'm not convinced and we have to prioritise this under Cifuentes.
  9. Whats the distribution of goals by team this season? We surely are bottom of the league for goals from strikers.
  10. I remember Brockington beating us 9-0 in a game once and Rich Gundelach scored all 9. Unreal little player who was one Villa's books at the time.
  11. Hmmmm body doesn't feel that great at the minute. Been fighting an illness for a few weeks that just won't budge or whether i've just got some low level fatigue that I get from the fun that is ulcerative colitis. Knees feel a bit inflamed too. Could do with feeling a bit more livelier ahead of Leicester Half and then a few weeks after got one in Chesterfield.
  12. Recording tomorrow night
  13. Cartwright having a very good season ao far, great to see.
  14. It's an obligation
  15. He's actually quite strong and one of the reasons he's already playing at sucj a young age. A few times in his last two starts he's knocked their players off the ball.
  16. I still don't think thats anywhere near enough as you can't expect teams to bury every good chance. Whilst I am not huge fan of xG it is an indicator of teams creativity of good chances and we are way down the table on it.
  17. I'm not writing off Cifuentes, i'm just pointing out the current weaknesses that I agree he has inherited in part (lack of capable strikers) and a toxic culture that he's trying to alter. The former though, whilst it's no surprise we aren't getting goals from our strikers, we aren't creating many chances for them either which is a system issue as much as anything. As i've said, his QPR and Hammarby teams didn't seem to have strikers that scored very regularly. You could argue thats as much personnel as it is coaching but it's worth us keeping an eye on. Yesterday aside, I don't think we are improving YET. The Wrexham 2nd half, the Oxford 1st half, pretty much the entire West Brom game was mediocre at best and no better than the struggles in the first 4-5 games. We are still a team of individuals a little too much but at the same time it's great to see such brilliance of Fatawu, James etc for those moments. The international break has come at a good time for us. Hopefully we can spend the break improving set piece delivery which is nothing short of a disgrace and work out some other patterns of play that need a boost. I'm a huge fan of Jordan James and whilst results haven't yet improved significantly, him and Winks are a potential pairing that hopefully compliment an all energy and menacing front four. Daka gets the nod right now up front for his pressing but how does this team create more? We badly need to find a solution.
  18. Hmmmmm I'm yet to be convinced. Don't see any sign of consistent goals from thr patterns of play in this team. It's a common theme of previous Cifuentes teams as well, whilst he wants attacking football i'm not so sure he's thst good at coaching it. Seems to either never have a striker who can score more than about 5 a season or his methods don't create enough chances to provide that platform.
  19. Looks an extremely talented players, fingers crossed he sees his future with us like Monga.
  20. Seen it many a time before, look at the pattern of the likes of Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth the 1st time they all went up and they were patiently waiting for their chance after a few years of learning and evolving. There's no standout relegated team to overpower by the looks of it and they're poised to seize the opportunity.
  21. I don't draw any confidence out of them being mediocre thst day, many teams two years ago could have said the same about us and it counted for very little as we steamrolled on and on in to the new year. It's not just a shit load of goals they're scoring, they are barely conceding. Bith of those metrics dropping off drastically is more unlikely to happen than it is us getting regular goals from one of the 3 dubious strikers we have. We'll be amongst the top 6 but with the points deduction coming, i'd be astonished if we're a 90 point team to get over line with 80-85 points that'll likely be needed.
  22. No i think somewhere around 88 will do it. But I also think there might be 3-4 around 80 odd so it'll be tight.
  23. The jade and navy if thats what it can be called is exceptional IMO.
  24. My best mates a Cov fan and he says the weird thing is they aren't even playing that well. He's a fairly measured football fan as well so I don't think he's exaggerating. Most successful teams often don't impress continually in performance but do in results. They will be tough to peg back, but at the same time I don't think they're a 95+ points team.
  25. Even if we can't, you'd sign him to sell on and turn a profit. Would be stupid not to.
