  1. Think he needs to be looking at League Two or National League level if he wants to get back into playing and even many clubs at that level will be reluctant given his issues.
  2. It's truly shocking when you read about this case in detail, I did last year and it really stayed on my mind for quite some time. Even worse when taking into account that the scumbag responsible only got 18 months in prison and even tried to appeal his sentence.
  3. Still not as bad as those private jet pics he put up on June 20th, couldn't be any more tone deaf than that after a relegation
  4. Would be a great signing. I've always rated him as a player and he seems like he'd be a great character to have in the squad too.
  5. There's also the high chance he'd respond by downing tools and creating a toxic atmosphere in the dressing room.
  6. We're now a Championship team, we're not going to be able to play hard ball like we used to. Other teams are also going to know that we've taken a financial hit, the owners are not investing what they used to and need money to fund incomings. They'll also know that we had known issues with players running their contracts down who didn't want to be here which contributed to the relegation and won't want a second round of the Tielemans situation with Maddison. Clubs are going to take advantage of us, that's the reality of relegation. We aren't getting £50M for him.
  7. As I said in another thread, sadly I think they are waiting for outgoings before signing anyone. Need to get Maddison and Barnes moved on ASAP.
  8. Might be making assumptions, but it does seem a bit 'deja vu' at the moment, worried we're in the same boat of waiting for outgoings before any business can be done in the transfer market.
  9. Goal music, clappers and the American style fan cam/t-shirt canon nonsense is absolute cringe, but it isn't going anywhere as long as KP are here, they have clearly decided to exclusively cater the matchday experience towards families with young kids with a totally artificial atmosphere and have tried to cut down on all forms of authentic support. Telling us to sit down over the tannoy when we were getting passionate during that massive Everton game sums it up.
  10. Iraola is class, would have loved him at Leicester. A lot of the uproar reminds me of when Brighton sacked Hughton for Potter, turned out it was absolutely the right decision.
  11. He still has 2 years left on his contract, thought he was decent in that Watford game but he didn't exactly shine in his other appearances, should loan him out to a League Two club this season, it isn't benefitting him hanging around on the sidelines at his age.
  12. He was considered a serious prospect at U18 level with rumours of some of the big clubs trying to sign him, but sadly he just hasn't made the step up to U21 level.
  13. His performance during that key Fulham game was a disgrace, clearly couldn't give a shit. Get him out the door.
  14. Palmer is being linked with a Bundesliga loan
  15. Said that he behaved more like a member of the coaching staff than a teammate or something along those lines.
  16. His record is only just about scraping promotion after inheriting squads that should have been promoted comfortably, he also has a proven record of playing negative football, alienating players and blaming them rather than taking responsibility when the going gets tough. He has no record of building a squad from scratch. I've long thought he's a terrible manager who will eventually get found out and end up doing punditry.
  17. So they're seriously considering appointing a PE teacher with an Instagram bio of 'Crossfit Lvl 1, Nutritionist, THE BEST IS YET TO COME' and a profile full of 'live, laugh, love' tier motivational quotes. Would take Smith on a 10 year deal over this guy. https://www.instagram.com/carlhoefkens/
  18. Knew this would be Rudkin's approach, loads of mediocre Championship journeymen on big contracts who we'll be stuck with for years. He's a Forest fan as well, btw. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/tom-cairney-makes-surprise-nottingham-6116604
  19. Designated Player https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Designated_Player_Rule
  20. So he can promote his family's shite coffee business but no comment on the relegation of the club that pays his wages. Modern footballers in a nutshell, they just don't care.
  21. This is the board that masterminded one of the worst relegations in top flight history. Don't know why people are expecting an inspiring appointment or any sort of strategy from these clowns. It'll be Smith on a 3 year deal after they've wasted weeks fannying around.
  22. Offering Evans a new contract just shows these people haven't learned a damn thing. His career is done, he is forever injured and his interviews following relegation were an absolute disgrace, showed he doesn't give a damn about the club, he's got to be one of the worst captains we've ever had.
  23. The rumour has come from The Sun, so probably not the most reliable source to say the least.
  24. This would be pretty much mine too, but my number 5 would be the 5-3 against Manchester United in the 2014-15 season. I watched it in a pub in Manchester, surrounded by United fans. That was the moment Vardy made his first mark on the league and we saw the first signs that we really had a special team here that could give anyone a game.
  25. He only just managed automatics with Bournemouth, it looked like Forest were going to catch them for much of the latter stages of the season, I recall Bournemouth throwing away lots of must wins against average teams. His response to the 9-0 this season was pathetic too and had shades of Rodgers, went to the media and bashed his players and said they weren't good enough to stay in the division and then when he was replaced by his assistant it turned out they were good enough. At Fulham and Bournemouth he inherited squads that were promotion ready too, he has no track record in squad building. Would be a terrible choice.
