  1. Not. No shots on target, and a message sent to the rest of the Championship that our bench they all go on about, ain't all that. This does nothing for the club's momentum.
  2. Well a lot getting what they asked for with the first team being rested. I can't say I'm happy watching us getting battered, having seen the Maidstone result and all the magic that goes with this competition.

I think it depends on what we mean by the term. For me it's someone who will always be talked about down the years as part of the club's history. Maybe someone who's name you don't have to search for in your memory banks, when someone says, name your club's famous players. Having started supporting from the mid-seventies side, my legends, (purely from a playing aspect) in my time are: Frank Worthington Keith Weller Gary Lineker Steve Walsh Jamie Vardy Wes Morgan Andy King Kasper Schmeichel Marc Albrighton Youri Tielemans As I'm putting the list together, I do now realise how subjective it is, and maybe mine's weighted too much with actually winning stuff. For example why haven't I put Steve Whitworth in, or Mark Wallington? Then there's Heskey, Izzet, Claridge, Elliott, and others. I think if you said list your top five in my time supporting, it would be the first five on my list. Maybe swap Weller for one of the others. Another measure could be, would you definitely want to be there to stand and clap them off on their final appearance for the club? King and Albrighton, a massive yes! Edit: Birch would get in for football plus things beyond, and Mahrez doesn't get in for football plus things beyond. Meanwhile back to Patson...
  4. I just don't see why an FA Cup run impacts our league progress. You sound like you're old enough to remember Liverpool sides that won leagues, and English and European cups with the same eleven. With the better pitches, and facilities they have nowadays, if our regularly rotated squad aren't up to giving it their all in a few extra cup games, and still maintaining their league position then they are a disgrace. The second string lose 0-2 at home to Birmingham. What does that do? Sends a clear message that we don't have the depth. It also damages morale. Send out our strongest eleven, win the game and move on.
  5. Yes we won't be able to play like we do now. Vestergaard and Faes walking the ball almost up to the halfway line. It's scary enough to watch at times at the moment, although it does mainly work. However in the Prem....
  6. We're Ipswich poor? I thought they defended very well and restricted us to very few chances. Particularly in the second half I thought their press was very good, and full of energy. A better final ball and they'd have been in a few times. Overall we seemed to struggle to break them down when we had possession outside their box. I think we edged it, but not massively.
  7. Yes a defeat will do nothing for us, especially in terms of momentum, whether first or second string play. Exactly what we don't need where a slight wobble might be being detected, (by some).
  8. From a business viewpoint, you're right. From a fan perspective I'd take the cup instead. That goes in the history books forever. Be interesting to know how you'd feel if we'd never won it. It might be an age thing. I'm nearly 60. The FA Cup matters. For some of our younger fan base, the Prem. seems to be the only goal. We'll go up and at some point, we'll come down. As a club we always have done. We need to be realistic about our chances if/when we go up. Do we have the money we'll need in the Premier League? I watched Bournemouth get stuffed 4-0 yesterday. I think Bournemouth are currently better than us. I'd take an FA Cup all day long.
  9. We've played the same amount of games as everyone else, and had the luxury of rotating more than most teams in the division. We've also controlled possession in so many games, so have done a lot less chasing. Absolutely no reason why we should look shattered.
  10. Strange mentality by some. I thought we had aspirations of being a Premier League side. We either are a Premier League side in waiting, and should therefore be targeting this competition, (as we would next season if we go up), or we're a second tier side, with absolutely no hope of winning it, as some have said. I don't see how we can think we're good enough to go up, but consider this competition beyond us.
  11. Is that six different penalty takers this season? Kel Vardy Daka Mavadidi Dewsbury-Hall Cannon
  12. It's the FA Cup! I'll be disappointed if we don't put out a strong/our strongest eleven. A team that's only ever won it once should not be disrespecting the competition. Besides, Millwall are tricky, especially at home, and a defeat, even if not in the league, still knocks us out of our stride. As someone said above, going out in the 3rd round of the FA Cup is a horrible feeling.
  13. Sit back, concede, rinse and repeat.
  14. Is he fit? Is Doyle the only injury?
  15. Shame about the third. 2-1 would have looked a lot tidier. Never mind. It doesn't impact on the journey we're on. Will look forward to Liverpool getting knocked out though. Can't stand 'em🤞
  16. Luxury of bringing Iheanacho and Fatawu on as late subs. What!! Happy days. 😊
  17. Out in Leeds, where I live. Watching it in Walkabout. Only six people upstairs. TV's turned off downstairs. Vardy scores. Big cheer from these two lads, students. Went over to be able to celebrate with someone. Now a bit drunk. Happy days. "We're gonna win the league..."
