Don't really know what the point of that was, and our participation in the competition. In stark contrast to Brentford who fielded a strong team and are after some silverware. If we really aren't bothered about it, then don't even risk first team sub's. My preference would be to play our strongest team, but if not, we may as well play kids. A battering just does the club no favours. Just adds to the downward spiral. So, if we aren't bothered, let's not try and hang in there with a halfway house team, just go kids. Could we have just not turned up, and taken a default 3-1 or whatever it is? I'd have preferred that.

Where do people see us finishing with Cooper versus a Moyes or Potter? I really don't think what we've done so far warrants the Cooper out toxicity I'm reading. People saying there are three worse sides. Who, when Southampton looked decent early on against Man U. and but for a missed penalty it could have been different, and everyone saying Everton will beat us? Where's your worst three? I'm encouraged by Skipp, Mavadidi at this level, Ayew, Ndidi yesterday. Okoli looked better. Kristiensen did okay as well, and Im not his biggest fan. It felt like there was a bit of depth in the squad yesterday. There were still outlets yesterday at the end; Vardy and Fatawu. It didn't have to be defensive. That could have been the players not the manager. I think the one substitution he got wrong yesterday was Choudhury for Ndidi. No problem with the others. Fans are fickle. We hold off for 2-1 and more than half of what's been said wouldn't have been, and you can't blame Cooper for a mis-timed tackle. Let's have some realism though. If you want him gone fair enough, but realise this, whoever you bring in is not suddenly going to go all Man. City on you. They'll always defend leads late on, and they'll finish close to the bottom three. Edit: To add to this having watched MOTD, I think we were on the wrong side of a VAR decision as well. Again, not Cooper's fault.

Agree. Also I hope we aren't going to have this Premier League against Leicester nonsense spouted all season. I presume their first goal was onside because of Justin's leg. No doubt MOTD will confirm tonight. If he was off, it's a mistake. Nothing more. I think Coady's reaction confirms the penalty. Anyone who seriously thinks all the ref's. will have been given a directive to punish Leicester really does need therapy.

I think I'd swap Justin with Ricky, as he's gone missing a few times. Other than that solid enough.

I think those expecting signings this week that will bring goals are going to be disappointed. I believe the club think they've sorted that with Ayew. I reckon no more business will take place. Those saying we're worse than under Maresca. What would Maresca's passing out from the back approach have done today against Fulham's quality Premier League press? In any event it was effectively the same team at the back and up to midfield except arguably a more natural left-back. We're not good enough and won't be all season. I won't be beating myself up each week. I'd play Ricardo at right-back and Justin at left-back, Mavididi instead of Reid, and Cannon for Ayew but after that what else could anyone change? In all honesty, I don't think those changes alter much either. The quality is not there and we knew that. What would Potter do differently?

Am I overlooking Buonanotte in the first post of this thread? Looked in the loans section, and couldn't see anything there. Thought maybe it wasn't being updated now, but Ayew has been added.

Laying out my LCFC towel on the sun lounger at my Menorcan hotel this morning, and it's a nice, proud feeling.

Nothing looked good today, or against Palermo. 1) Slow build-up. Saw a bit of Leeds against Valencia at half-time. Leeds so much quicker than us. 2) We couldn't defend corners very well. Please not again. 3) No creativity in midfield, even with Winks playing. 4) Never looked like scoring. Just not creating chances. 5) I haven't been convinced with what I've seen from Okoli so far. 6) Cooper already appears to be selecting players ahead of others, when everyone on here would do the opposite, e.g. Soumare/Choudhury rather than Alves. All the ingredients for relegation. It's early days obviously, and trying not to be another doom and gloom merchant, but the signs really aren't encouraging 😬

In fairness to Daka the service was non-existent tonight. We do need another striker, but there was nothing for him to work with. Soumare didn't do enough. Winks and Fatawu worked hard. Fair play to Palermo. They worked hard and were a good team. To say they finished well down Italy's second league, I wasn't really expecting that. Well done to all who travelled. Was hoping for a bit more...some singing. Not easy when, like where I was sat, there were quite a few Chesterfield fans in to watch. Well done to Vesty for asking the blokes at the front to move, so the kids could get pictures/autographs. Not that they did. More frustrating that they were Wolves/Spurs fans 🤔🤷

Yes. Grew up in Leeds and despite me being a Leicester fan since the mid 1970's, my mum and dad, (90 and 89 years old respectively), my brother, my son-in-laws, one of my daughters, (the other's Leicester), three granchildren, (one is Leicester) and mates are all Leeds. I'd like it for them. It also means we win the Championship. I can see us messing up at Preston after the celebrations, and if it came down to the final day, where we've got Blackburn fighting for their lives, and they've got an already relegated Huddersfield, I wouldn't fancy it. Also their six defeats is way too tidy against our ten, especially when we should have beaten them twice. To see them finish with eight would redress things nicely. As for why I think Leeds would win, I just think they'd both win their final games, and Leeds would go up because of goal difference.

Yes I get that, but notwithstanding, if we are turned over by a Preston side that are on the beach, it's a poor showing.

I think if Coventry beat Ipswich, then Leeds will go up automatically, and personally I'd prefer that to be the outcome.
