  1. It was a team in upheaval, with a lot of players leaving, a lot of new players coming in. Confidence was low for those players still traumatised by Rogers' influence. The rest of the Championship teams are just making up the numbers. But you're right top of the league all season is piss poor from this group of players.
  2. Yes many on here saying about us bottling it. My god there's some bottlers on here. An expected win for Ipswich. I've said before, after the mess of last season, where we are is hugely impressive. We'd no right to come straight back up. What Enzo has done is superb. Reading this I'd do one if I was him. Wheel Rooney in. Ffs.
  3. Exactly, and light training only, or maybe skip training altogether. Some of the stuff on here. Just play your strongest team. It's the quarter finals of the FA Cup ffs.
  4. Nice chart. Ipswich should be showing a red though for the Southampton game.
  5. So all those that were saying sack it off, not interested, does that apply to the quarters? Brilliant win. I was critical of a weakened side, but we did it. Hamza and Vesty superb
  6. Hate to say it but I can see a Yunus or Fatawu horrible penalty miss deciding it - blazed over the bar, or a dink that goes wrong
  7. Think it's the speed of the game.
  8. Well we won't know unless both teams play their strongest 11's.
  9. Definitely
  10. What's the issue with playing your best eleven? You can't go into every game saying X might get injured, or you'd start doing it against Rotherham at home in the league. Players get injured, but most of the time they don't. They could just as easily get injured in training. What do you do, start being cagey during training? It wouldn't be for tiredness. If elite athletes can't run around for ninety minutes on Tuesday and not be ready to go on Saturday, then there's something wrong with the training and game recovery regime. Think of the Olympics. You get a 5,000 metres runner. They'll run a heat, and three/four days later, they'll be running in the final, and bettering their time. Try and win the game. Massive boost if we do.
  11. Worrying!? Six points clear. After last year and the mess that needed sorting, plus the alleged financial position, I'd have been happy that we didn't go straight down to the First. Get a grip.
  12. Hope Maresca doesn't read, or get to hear about a lot of the nonsense being said on here. We'll regret it when he goes and we end up with a Rooney, or some other car crash.
  13. I hope I'm missing the sarcasm. He's been instrumental in us having a brilliant season so far.
  14. I was just meaning in today's games. Got to want them to drop points. We might need a gap between second and third.
  15. Vardy starts and a bit of luck on the offside, and we're four up before they score. A real shame that one, especially me coming from, and living in Leeds. Dust settles and I'll look at the table tomorrow. We're still six clear. Let's hope Ipswich and Southampton slip up.
  16. The intensity wasn't there like it was tonight. Just look at Dewsbury-Hall; chalk and cheese.
  17. We played well. I think people are losing sight of that. We missed two sitters, but beyond that I thought we were superb. Also two of their goals were deflections. What does hurt is the fact we didn't play like that against Middlesbrough. If we had, we'd have walked it.
  18. Anyone know if it's possible to get City darts/flights?
  19. Why drag the poor bloke all the way over if that's the case, and we know no-one's leaving? Surely be confident that someone's leaving first, then get him to travel. Not convinced anyone looked like they were leaving. Souttar maybe, but not really.
  20. Is there something similar that could be put together to show what needs to happen/when for a guaranteed play-off position?
  21. I think after the Ipswich game(s) where we took the lead, but couldn't add to it, and ultimately dropped points, there was probably a nervousness more than anything that history was going to repeat. There are times where I think the wing-backs have the ball and could attack down the wing, but choose to stop, and knock it back, even when there's no direct challenge. I don't get that. I do still appreciate what the manager has achieved though. I guess I just think we could even do more, which is frightening really, (for the opposition).
  22. Very good litmus test, but only if we put our first team out. I was saying the other day when they got thumped 4-0 by Liverpool that I think they're currently a better team than us. Type of side we need to be taking down if/when we go up.
  23. At least you had an interest in it. I could show you umpteen posts that say got absolutely no interest in this. The fringe players sadly didn't step up, and in the next round we'll be even more battered than we were at half-time against Brum with a better side against us. Liverpool won leagues, domestic, and European cups in the same season with 12 players. I'm happy the FA Cup still means something to me.
  24. They were woeful against Bournemouth. Saying that I only watched the 5-0 first half.
  25. Strange that people seem interested in who we get in the draw. On the Birmingham match thread, everyone had sacked it off to concentrate on the league. Must be a different group on here 🤔
