  1. Sorry to hear that. I have a 5 year old lab and would be heartbroken. I'm definitely going to check the wormer we use.
  2. I assume you mean sculling, do you? You had control of both oars? That does take some getting used to, especially balancing yourself by laying the blades flat on the water. If you haven't, see if you can get a go rowing in a boat of two or more. Four is usually a good number to start with. If you're with an experienced crew, you'll soon get a bit of speed up although beginners do tend to catch crabs (getting the blade stuck in the water) when they first start. When you start getting a lick on, it's exhilarating!
  3. Have you mentioned, via your solicitor, the damp readings to the sellers? I was in a similar problem not so long ago, and the sellers agreed to get a quote from a builder to rectify the problem. Then you can start to negotiate.
  4. There are 3 reasons why I didn't/won't watch this: 1. The set looks like it's borrowed from the Big Breakfast 2. Lee 'Bloody' Chappy 3. JLC
  5. Marcin is definitely holding a flick knife there.
  6. Surely if we as good a friend as he states, he'd have taken his word for it rather than go all Liam Neeson from Taken on him? It was all about the sunglasses
  7. That's his best face yet! Just shows that the paparazzi are clicking away at anyone and everyone throughout the night. Was Drinkwater 'worse for wear' or did they just manage to capture him mid-blink?
  8. **** me. All this over a pair of sunglasses! God help anyone that uses your vagina cream without permission!
  9. I do a modern western. Shame they've not come up with a new story though, because the original is a classic
  10. Female smooth/common newt, probably
  11. On your recommendation, I've started watching it. I've watched the first two and I like it.
  12. I'm sorry to her about the Mrs. Hope everything goes well.
  13. I never realised they were so expensive. Surely you'd keep the first one, wouldn't you? Aren't they usually the ones that are worth a fortune in the future? Sorry for the ignorance, I know absolutely nothing about comics

    Gin

Well, that's just it. If you've tasted Buckfast, you know that they'll drink anything up here!

    Gin

I never realised just how big gin was up here in Scotland. I thought it was just whisky, whisky and more whisky... which I can't stand, by the way! Anyone fancying a Gin tour of Scotland, take a look at this map.
  16. I'd have put '14' and let them do some lateral thinking too
  17. That's a little more promising. I don't think this will be the only film made about last season because of the enormity of the achievement, although not all will focus on Vardy, I don't think. I'm hoping the film is less 'When Saturday Comes' and more 'Moneyball'
  18. The Royal Bank of Scotland for mortgages. Use them at your peril!
  19. Glad it's back.
  20. Us. With our clappers. All fans of other Premier League explode!
  21. If it's the house you want, it's worth paying that little extra. Here is Scotland, I've found that the 'Offers in excess of...' price was a marketing ploy to make it more attractive and the home report (similar to a survey that the seller organises) actually tells you the real value that the seller is looking for. Even then, should it go to closed bids, you still have to offer in excess of that. There's a fine line between bidding enough to win it but not paying too much and not getting value for money. I had to bid £12k above the 'OIEO' prices to secure the house I'm in the process of buying. A friend of mine paid £40k over the advertised price after losing out on a few. It's certainly designed in favour of the seller
  22. I've always thought that the reason why companies adopt hot design was so no one could have an untidy desk at the end of the day. There's no other reason why it can be beneficial.
  23. Who, over the age of 14, would wear Breaking Bad trainers? Man alive!
  24. Although a fair trek for just one day!
  25. Oh yes please!
