Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast
Claudio Fannieri replied to Ric Flair's topic in Leicester City Forum
Brilliant pod again fellas, top drawer as always, content is always relevant and the discussion is engaging but with a great element of humour. James was superb, the pod really does continue to go from strength to strength 👏🏼👏🏼 -
Rumour was photos were all done yesterday so think it will be announced t ahead of today’s game and ideal opportunity to maximise social media exposure throughout the game with him and Top together.
-
I think it will be this morning and he will observe today’s game from the balcony of the training centre whilst the clubs media constantly reference he is here and watching the game, plus Top will be all over this game as it’s KP’s clubs so the opportunity for him to be right left and centre with his manager showing him the world class training facilities will be all over our social media today.

Andy King - back as a Coach ?
Claudio Fannieri replied to bald reynard's topic in Leicester City Forum
Has done a fantastic job over these past two weeks, speaks eloquently and it’s interesting that he references that the stats are suggesting the players are fitter and further ahead of previous 2 seasons. -
LCFC and the Communication Void

It was tongue in cheek pal given the shit posters like Babylon and such used to get, quite a few used to get the hi Jon after certain posts -

I think there will be 2 buckets of players we want to offload - high earners that we will probably sell at knock down prices just to get them off the books and reduce the wage bill such as - Coady, Winks, Soumare, Daka, Vesty, Ndidi, Ayew, BDCR and possibly even Riccy and Justin. Then there will be a group that the club feel will be saleable assets that we can generate reasonable fees for and I think that group will consist of - Mads, Bilal, Faes, VK I don’t think we will sell all 14 players but i think we will look to move on at least half from each group to try and drastically cut costs and generate money for incomings.
-
Hopefully will be announced today and we can start to move forward, it’s a risk but so was Maresca and that made it a bit more exciting and something to rejuvenate support after a really disappointing relegation season, I see a lot of similarities in this appointment, we need a reset, a complete overhaul and a manager to engage the fanbase. If and when he arrives I will be backing him 100% and I will also be giving him time as we need a Pearsonesque rebuild and given his past record of promoting / signing younger players he could just be the man to do it, I really hope the club have not said it’s promotion or out and have instead set out a project that focuses on delivering sustainable long term success built around the academy and signing younger players with sell on potential.

As you say hopefully a sign that we are tightening our belts and this will follow with the playing squad, back too paying reasonable wages and hopefully heavily incentivised performance related bonuses if successful.
-
I think this is done and dusted, wouldn’t be surprised if he has met the players today observed training and will be officially announced tomorrow, betting is suspended and there has been nothing in the media to suggest it has hit the buffers.
-
I might be wrong but that’s about £20k per week which is mind blowing when you consider Coady will be on £70k per week, which does make me wonder if we will move on all or most of the high earners on £40k/50k + per week

I think reading between the lines the deal to get Rohl out was too prohibitive and I think Chansiri has dug his heels in to make it as difficult for Rohl to leave as possible, we have then moved onto other more attainable targets, seemed to have plumped for Cifuentes and now Rohl is having to somewhat backtrack and is using the takeover to spare his blushes.
-
Next Leicester manager market on oddschecker has now disappeared so looks like it is happening or at least bookies are fairly confident it’s done and dusted.

Dyche, and to a leaser extent Wilder, appear to be a safer bet on paper, however you could have said the same when we took the chance on Enzo, however In reality our club, squad and in particular the exciting group of academy players breaking through means that neither of the above are particularly the right choices at this moment in time. Cifuentes has done a very decent job at QPR, they were in free fall when he took over and he managed to save them from relegation and then stabilise the club whilst bringing in a lot of younger players and implementing a new style of play and achieved this on a relatively small budget. Whoever we bring in given our current predicament is going to have an element of risk but overall this is an appointment that at least seems to carry a fair amount of sensible thinking, aligns with how the club want to play and create a genuine pathway for the very talented academy prospects to progress into the 1st team. I really don’t think this has been something that has come out of the blue, I think the names leaked have largely come via Wasserman and it would appear that it has been more of a shootout between Rohl and Cifuentes but the club have managed to keep a lid on it due to the complexities of both candidates compensation deals. Thinking back to Saturday and i would say Kingys tactics, set up and patterns of play were very similar to how I could see us playing under Cifuentes. Lets hope today is the day and we can start to move forward and build some positivity ahead of the new season.
-
Who else was with him at QPR? Will he have a full back room staff to come with him, really hope Kingy is part of his coaching team
-
Which I am sure he will more than make up in signing fee and a weekly wage far in excess of anything he was getting at QPR
-
…… here we go again, who is tomorrow’s favourite 😂
-
Ruud stuck 5 past us in Carabao Cup game and look how that worked out for us, means nothing.
-
Also good to see a heavy focus on younger players too
-
I think all other betting looks to be suspended or unavailable so think Betfair is just reflecting what has been Laos up to yesterday it had been a pretty small market
-
Interesting development and too be honest a far more exciting prospective appointment than the likes of Dyche, Wilder and O’Neill. If he does join then I will be genuinely excited as to the new season and hopefully his backroom staff will include Kingy.
-
Let’s hope it means Rohl is finally on his way and they have managed to agree his exit from Sheffield Wednesday.
