  1. Zjelko “Spider” Kalac’s debut was quite the performance, however I am amazed Soumare hasn’t been mentioned more often, not only has he had some absolutely honkers, it his complete lack of desire, fight and his ability to literally lumber around for 95% of the game then make one decent bit of play and we all cling to the belief he is has the potential to the be 2nd coming of Yaya Toure.
  2. Might be an unpopular opinion but given this has been happening since 2016, would suggest it was custom & practice under Vichai and Top has continued the trend 😩
  3. I think it will end up being somewhere around £25m + some add ons. 5 year deal will only cost West Ham £5m per year PSR with a decent sell on potential
  4. Looks to be gathering momentum, hopefully permanent deal sorted this week and this gives us some bandwidth to start moving a few both in and out of the club.
  5. I could see him ending up at a club like Fulham or Everton, probably get him for £7.5m over a 3 year deal it’s £2.5m per year PSR for an experienced premier league defender who can cover both full back roles.
  6. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Besiktas interest has been leaked by JJ’s representatives to try and generate interest from Premier League clubs, there could be some tentative interest that’s been shown and they want to try and hurry it along. JJ would be a decent squad/rotation option for any mid/lower level premier league club.
  7. Reckon if West Ham push for loan with obligation then we should insist on a fee of £25m-£30m and that it is activated before the end of June 2026 so they pay a premium but we are still banking the fee in this PSR period. Or they can buy him now for £20m - £22.5m plus add ons.
  8. Braybrooke really needed to have a standout hour last week against Leuven and being honest he was steady and safe but didn’t really show enough whereas Aluko, Monga, Page, Evans, Alves & Joseph have looked more confident and prepared to try and impact the game. I think both Braybrooke and Golding need a make or break season at L1 or L2 level to toughen up, get minutes under their belts and a chance to shine.
  9. Haven’t Kasabian already played at the KP if I recall correctly there is a restriction on capacity
  10. Just a very different viewpoint and thinking out the box but I genuinely do wonder why the club haven’t considered approaching Kasabian for the front of shirt partner. The band don’t pay a penny but the commercial benefits would be astronomical, shirt sales would literally go through the roof, as part of the deal the band do 3 to 5 gigs at the stadium with profits split between the club and band. The social media and profile of Kasabian would be huge, a band from Leicester and no negative publicity associated to betting or any other issues, it really would be massive for the club.
  11. The issue is Cifuentes likes to press high and from the front, Ayew really struggles with this as lacks mobility whilst Daka cannot hold up the ball and the less said about his technical ability and finishing the better, in truth despite Ayew scoring yesterday, what it showed me is that neither is really suited to the managers style.
  12. Agree pal my only hope is he was using yesterday to guage which 2 of Vesty, Coady and Faes he is happy to bin off.
  13. Looked like he had never been away, was interesting once Abdul came on it made me realise how much Mavididi has dropped off and playing within himself. Once fully fit it has to be Fatawu and Monga as starters out wide they will create havoc.
  14. Awful yesterday was the perfect opportunity, new manager who wants to implement a high press playing against inferior opposition, this was a chance to lay down a marker and completely and utterly fluffed his lines again. I mean that shot in the 1st half pretty much summed up his career with us.
  15. Really positive performance players look really fit and some excellent patterns of play in both halves. All very positive given Marti and Xavi have been here less than a week. Really difficult to start selecting starting XI’s at this stage as there are a lot of moving parts in this squad especially in relation to outgoings and question marks as to who will still be here or wants to be here come the end of the transfer window. personally I think the following are in the departure lounge just waiting for an offer capable of acceptance whether they go or not is a different matter - Hermansen Ricardo Justin Faes Coady Soumare Ndidi Winks BEK Daka Mavididi
  16. 8 goals in 20 games in a struggling Cardiff side is far from shabby, and a strike rate of a goal every 2.5 games over his career to date is decent especially when you consider he is still only 23. He is also 6ft 4 so brings some physicality and height. I would be really happy with this and think this is the type of deal and player we should be going for, he will have sell on opportunity as well.
  17. I don’t think it was a reflection on Alves and Evans or a hint to where they stand, I think it’s more about an opportunity for Marti to see as many of the young players as possible and also managing Abdul’s return.
  18. Told you Ayew was mustard 😂
  19. Would have preferred to see Soumare and Ayew off rather than Evans and Alves
  20. Alves looks really bright and inventive in the 10 role.
  21. Really can’t see how Ayew & Soumare will work in a system that relies on pressing and high intensity play.
  22. Exactly what I said 😂
  23. I think if we get an offer in of £10m or more we will accept.
  24. I genuinely don’t see Bilal as wanting to play a season in the championship especially in a World Cup year, think he will leave alongside Mads, similar to when Barnes and Madders left following the previous relegation.
