  2. Given that Maresca only includes players he deems fully committed to the cause then I can only assume that Souttar was perhaps one who returned in the summer and wanted to assess his options and was not fully committed to the Leicester project. I do wonder if the alleged interest from Rangers and the lure of potential champions league football had turned his head. His return to the fold and performance alongside Coady was a welcome boost given the likelihood Doyle’s injury looks to be long term.
  3. Make no mistake regardless of the division we find ourselves in, our defensive structure since the early games this season, especially Cov is like comparing night and day and as for last season it is completely unrecognisable. The work rate out of possession is unreal and it is relentless, on Saturday the amount of times we won the ball back within seconds of Bristol City being in possession was staggering. Whilst Enzo seems to work far hard on our in possession patterns of play it is also clear that plenty of work also goes into how we structure ourselves out of possession too. We are becoming an absolute joy to watch but horrible to play against and that is beautiful.
  4. What a talent, everytime he had the ball there was a buzz in the crowd, he is so direct and skillful and he is always trying to make things happen. Also love how hard he works out of possession too, I know we are at a totally different level to where we were but I ain’t missing any of the players we have moved on or lost from last season, this squad and management team are a breath of fresh air and love it. This lad will bag goals and assists for fun this season. It’s insane when you look at the wide options we know have, embarrassment of riches, but I think Fatawu could be the ace in the pack
  5. I thought it was arguably our best team performance of the season with every player 7 or above. It was as convincing a 1-0 win as you could hope for. It is going to be like yesterday most home games with teams setting up to avoid a completely demoralising thumping, it is purely damage limitation, much in the same way prem teams go to Man City with a view to not winning the game but trying to keep the score down to something acceptable. Their keeper made a couple of very good saves, they put bodies on the line in defensive areas and we made some poor decisions with final ball/end product which restricted us to just the one, on another day it could have been 4 or 5. We were horrible to play against yesterday, controlled and dominate in possession and when out of possession we pressed the life out of them and won the ball back so quickly, for most of the game it was like a defence vs attack training drill, Bristol looked dead on their feet by the end. If we can get an early goal against these teams then I can see us battering a few but most likely it will be 1 or 2 nil wins at home, where we completely boss the game but have to break down a 11 man wall.
  6. Great win on the road, at times we were under pressure but that is going to happen, i thought the defence were class and Mads was brilliant with exception of one mistake. We are only 7 games in but already we have progressed beyond recognition from the team in the 1st few games, the potential is frightening.. Testament to Enzo and his teams coaching is the fact that McAteer and Vestergaard have come out of nowhere to be two mainstays of the team, it’s great to see that fearless attitude back and a great team spirit developing. love watching this team and squad, quality, guts and togetherness, future is looking bright.
  7. Another great pod absolutely love it 👏🏼👏🏼
