I reckon Nige is a far better judge than any of us halfwits 😂

No I ain’t on a wind up, I am asking how you know he won’t make a good manager and truth is you don’t know. Oh and just for context 95% of managers are ex players so a few manage the transition. Pep went straight into Barcelona and smashed it, others have failed, truth is as I said in my initial post, nobody knows!!!
-
How do you know he is not a manager? That is my point, we don’t know. All I am saying is if Kingy was to appointed at least it would unite the club and fanbase. He is no more of a gamble than bringing in Dyche with a group of young academy prospects that he is highly likely to ignore.
-
None of us really know whether Kingy would be any good as a manager or if he has the personality or character to manage players at the top end of the game, what people are basing it on is that he comes across as a nice bloke in interviews, truth is Kingy could be very different in a non media environment. Whilst it would be a risk and a bit of an unknown, if he had an experienced assistant such as Chris Powell alongside him, then it is certainly something that would unite the fanbase at a time when supporters feel pretty disconnected. He is far from 1st choice but for people to write him off as not being a manager is a bit much. It’s a big job to start off at but who knows he could be the right person at the right time.

Joking aside they are bloody brilliant and the portions could feed a family of 4 😂😂 what I will say is that it’s really got the PNE fanbase buzzing, they are fans of the club and it has created some really positive momentum. Tomorrow they are launching the kit at the ground and the 1st 2,000 fans who buy a kit get a free jacket spud, it will be busy and definitely generate media interest and extra revenue.

King Power: A Tale of Rise and Ruin

Very similar to budgeting for European football and top 8 finishes then getting relegated, the similarities are frightening and just shows how inept the board/ownership are. -
I wonder if the Dyche rumours were leaked to force Rohl’s / Wednesdays hand to reach some sort of sensible amicable compromise agreement.
-
Was always likely to happen, given the circumstances, reckon there will be an agreement he can walk away on the provision that if he secures a new job within x months then Sheffield Wednesday will be entitled to a greatly reduced compensation payment.

Or they read some of my posts on here and thought bollocks to him 🤣🤣

King Power: A Tale of Rise and Ruin

Doesn’t help when the players go snivelling to the owner every time they don’t like the manager and he fecking enables it. -
My own personal experience of the club and its strange behaviour regarding social media content was last season when I did my 5km runs each and every day to raise money for Prostate Cancer, I completed a run at the KP and the club were brilliant in making it happen, even had Filbert run round with me on a lap or two, before hand whilst on my health & safety lap the club shared a planned social media post they had written to help raise awareness and also heavily promote the support club had given to me, if would also include a link to my just giving page. I even had confirmation of the planned date it would be published and had to confirm final approval.   anyway the planned day of publication came and went and when I chased my contact at the club he embarrassingly had to confirm it had been pulled by someone higher up.

What is interesting is given BC Game look to no longer be our kit sponsor and now given the King Power news, and they are the usual fall back position, does this mean we have been actively looking for an alternative external sponsorship partner. -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
Claudio Fannieri replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
Plus we have to factor in that it’s highly unlikely he fancies hanging around to play the likes of Oxford, Preston, Wrexham, Hull etc etc when he can and should be playing top league football. -

I think we will be away vs Charlton on the Friday night kick off -
If appointed whilst I will be very very meh about it and far from excited, as with Cooper I will still want him to prove me wrong as the most important thing is for the club to be successful. However like Cooper there are far too many red flags that make me think this will wrong person, wrong time.

Kaine Kessler - Hayden would also be a good addition.

Fire sale due to King Power finances
Claudio Fannieri replied to SafewayFox's topic in Transfer Talk
Aside from Coady, I don’t think we will see any or much movement in the remainder of this month unless it’s Mads or BEK for PSR purposes, from 1st July and the new financial year will be when the new reduced book values of players kick in, so that will be when it’s more likely to see Soumare, Daka, Faes, VK, Winks etc move on, no club will play a premium to buy them in June instead of July. -
In fairness it’s all about opinions, some managers people like others people don’t. I think it’s about how fans perceive playing style, player profile and how they will use the academy prospects, personally whilst I know he had faults I loved Enzo, had a clear philosophy that i liked, set a winning culture and mentality, challenged the club to be better in everything we did, used our academy, there was a lot to like. With Dyche, he is everything that I don’t like, playing style that is defensive, dour and lacks flair, isn’t a massive advocate of younger players, his methods are out dated and limited, also I think he has run his course in top flight football except as a fire fighter for 10 games to try and get you out of relegation trouble. His time was 10 years ago, what he achieved with Burnley was really good, but they were and still are a very different club to us. Dyche is a great fit for certain clubs and situations, and for me neither is the right fit for him at LCFC.
-
As awful as it sounds this is where my head is at as well, that’s not to say I want Ruud to stay, ideally we start the new season with a young, hungry, innovative coach but if the only choice is Dyche or Ruud, then I say stick and give him the chance to completely rebuild the club, move on the shite and use the academy as much as possible to frame our future.
