  1. Their own ground? Or one of the numerous they’ve been squatting in over the past decade?
  2. Good. Get em ****ed back off to league 2.
  3. Ahh man, really enjoying this. Seems like ages since we had one of these in the prem, videos doing the rounds on X are quality.
  4. That will have been an absolute all timer for the away end. Incredibly jealous!
  5. I simply cannot speyk
  6. What a roll of the dice that is
  7. Yeah still not sure this is done and dusted, amazingly. A reflection on them more than it is us!
  8. There’s probably just about enough quality in the squad to sustain an attempt at staying in the division, but all of that is just completely null and void because of the gaffer they’re playing for. You feel like anything good we do is in spite of what the manager has told them to do. Okoli and Faes probably our best two players and we’ve conceded twice so that tells its own story.
  9. Complete and utter waste of time. We’ve pissed yet another transfer window away backing this fool, as well as the inevitable compensation we’ll have to pay when we finally pull the trigger. Joke of a manager. Joke of a club. The good times are well and truly in the rear view mirror.
  10. I haven’t, but it looks stunning!
  11. Am I right in thinking you’re H’forth currently? I’m literally about 5 mins down the road and I play golf in Horsforth (decent for a pint tbh I’d recommend). I’m a fan of the Three Swords on New Road Side, that’s a good addition, and even better they ****ed off a Banyan to get it there.
  12. Yep, that’s the one on the corner next to that massive rippers…..my hotel was next door and that’s the only reason I know
  13. Haha I think I know the exact one you’re on about
  14. Less so these days mate unfortunately but still on the odd occasion. I think I’d actually said before I’d hit you up for one in The Grapes next time I was around, still stands when I eventually make it back down.
  15. That’s a great find. Never seen it in a bar, restaurant, offy or otherwise. Might have to order some. Proper lager at a good ABV as well. Agree. Although one of my favourite things to do in Italy is grab a bottle and find a square or just a quiet place and sit and have a drink and watch the world go by. That feels normal over there, you’d get branded a tramp over here (or maybe that’s just me!)
  16. Ichnusa. The most overlooked of the Italian beers. I like the mystique that you don’t see it in the UK too, similar to Alpha in Greece (Ichnusa wipes the floor with A though if they go head to head).
  17. Yeah it works well, I imagine it would be the same in Barca, Budapest etc etc and gives you another reason to go to these places other than just your standard sightseeing. Depends what you’d consider silly expensive really. Our track passes which was a grandstand seat at Prima Variante for each day and integrated train and shuttle tickets to and from Milan was around €450 pp booked via one of the seemingly hundreds of independent companies who sell these types of packages about 6 months before we went. You have to factor In flights obviously but Ryanair to Bergamo seems to be a cheap route all year round from most major airports from what I can tell. You don’t get much for your money hotels wise at the best of times in Milan I don’t think but as said above didn’t seem to be taking the piss price wise, c€100 a night next to Centrale which is a bit of a dump of an area but handy for getting to Monza sharpish (10 min train if you pick the right one). Probably could have found cheaper accommodation but convenience won this time.
  18. @mancunianfox I’ll be honest I’ve never looked at prices for Silverstone so hard to say, what would you pay for grandstand seats for the full weekend there? You obviously have to factor in flights and accommodation too but that didn’t seem much different in price to when we went to Milan last year, wasn’t as if they’d hiked the price for the weekend specifically which surprised me.
  19. Back home after a great weekend at Monza. 1st race I’ve been to in person, they aren’t for the feint hearted, the heat was exhausting and Monza park is absolutely massive, covered some serious ground. Great to see a Ferrari win on home soil, the Italian fans are great value, superb atmosphere. Not sure the British media have made much of it, but it was apparently the fastest GP in history, not sure if that’s actually true or not? They kept saying it over the tannoy. I’d highly recommend Monza as a race to go to if anyone was considering a race. Very accessible from Milan (and Monza is lovely in its own right) and all the transport was very well organised all weekend (but extremely busy as you can imagine). You get city break and race weekend all wrapped in to one which I personally enjoyed. I’d go again for sure. Also picked up a new Atalanta shirt so I’m chuffed all together.
  20. He hasn’t got a scooby do
  21. Sad to see a proper old school football man gone before his time. Thanks for everything Shakey. Forever a Fox.
  22. Well done mate. No easy task on that course or in that heat! I did the half, I was absolutely dead the last couple of Km. Atmosphere was unreal, as you say the city and suburbs really do turn out, it was great to be a part of it. I think I’ll have nightmares about the stretch after you’ve gone through Headingley. It feels like it never ends and constantly uphill. I’d do another one, but not that one!
  23. Couple of Urquell, a glass of wine and a nice double measure of Torres Brandy this eve toasting a city win and running my first ever 10 miles. The brandy was about £12 from Barcelona airport and its nectar. Spanish produce is really excellent value for money a lot of the time, in comparison to other European countries such as Italy/france.
  24. Afternoon all. Glorious day for a bank holiday pint or two. I’ll be off to the Bankers for a Lukas shortly. Going slightly off topic for those who enjoy wine, tried Aldi’s knock off of Campo Viejo red last night. That’s a very good copy and about £1.50 cheaper than the real stuff. Happy Easter to the best thread on FT.
  25. What’s he doing, card tricks?!
