The media trying to convince us that there will be a genuine title race this season is hilarious. Man City will run away with it again.
-
One of the worst 4-1 victories I've ever seen.
-
From the back of the stand, yes. But certainly not from the front of the section where Union FS are situated. I think it's important to make that distinction.

My stream is a little bit behind. This game is absolute carnage. Tottenham are lucky to still have everyone on the pitch, but what a goal from Hazard!!!! Surely the title is ours now.

Spurs play some really good football under Ange. It has to be said.
-
Last season they were running a lot on the excitement of being back there after such a long time away and it was very full blooded and in your face. They haven't got much quality to fall back on once the hunger disappears. They'll still stay up comfortably though.

Man United starting eleven earlier was barely better than one you would expect to see from Crystal Palace. Many teams go to Old Trafford and shit the bed, only because it is Man United and Old Trafford. Their squad alone wouldn't look out of place in the bottom half.

I'm seeing some discontent starting to surround Steve Cooper at Forest. I'm convinced they will stay up because the four teams below them are just so bad. The main criticism seems to be that he is one dimensional and the football is pretty dour. Their fixture list has been weird, they've played Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool all away and have played all three newly promoted teams at home. They've got the likes of Fulham, Everton, Wolves and West Ham coming up soon so they'll know where they are.

Stoke City spent around £40 million in their first summer following relegation and finished deep in the bottom half. Sunderland suffered back to back relegation. Parachute payments are absolutely no guarantee of success. We are a rare case in that our squad should never have gone down. However, we still needed to appoint a manager who would change the mentality and give us a defined playing style. Answer this question, if we had stuck with Dean Smith or appointed Scott Parker, would we have won 12 out if 13 games? I don't believe for one second that we would.

I do, but I also hate Newcastle. Aston Villa or Brighton will not win the league. In reality Tottenham probably won't either.
-
The forced attempt of rivalry with Tottenham is pathetic and I actually wouldn't mind seeing them win the title this season. I must admi that the main reason for that though is that Postecoglou seems like a top bloke.

Having seen Perez, Albrighton and even KDH being deployed out wide in recent seasons and putting so much responsibility on Barnes on the other side, it is so refreshing to see us with multiple exciting wide options in Fatawu, Yunus, Mavididi and McAteer.

So we have just played a gig where the sound engineer had no idea that we were playing, he only had one DI box when we require four abd didn't have enough channels on his mixing desk so we had no backing track and no click, had to play 3 songs instead of 7 and had to restart one of those songs all while being watched by Everton manager Sean Dyche. Dyche also kissed my girlfriend on the head and stuck his middle finger up at me. Not your everyday experience.

Seen some Swansea fans claiming that they didn't deserve to lose by two goals. I don't see it personally. OK, they had chances to score more but we definitely should have scored more than three. I think the two goal margin was more than a fair reflection.
-
I will never accept this relegation as a blessing in disguise. Had we stayed up, we would have had a summer to sort ourselves and looking at the state of the bottom 4/5 in the Premier league this season, we wouldn't have had to have much to stay up comfortably.

How are we getting on, compared to previous Championship winners.

Leeds are the team that worry me the most from the teams currently chasing the top two. They haven't been that consistent yet but I think they are capable of stringing a 9/10 game winning run. When Farke was Norwich manager during the twi seasons where they won the championship they went on some serious winning runs. In my opinion he has a better squad now than he did on either of those occasions. -
I don't think the Burnley owners are that bad, no?

The red card played a huge part in that to be fair. They look a good side at this level. -

We still have to play Leeds twice, Sunderland twice, Middlesbrough twice, Ipswich twice and West Brom. I think our next 5 games will tell us a lot. We have Sunderland, Leeds and Middlesbrough in those five. 4 wins out 5 for the rest of the season would have us finishing on a minimum points tally of 114! That would be absolutely remarkable. -

I'm sad enough to have gone through our remaining fixtures. I have predicted 22 more wins, 9 draws and 4 defeats. That would give us 75 more points and have us finishing with 105 points! That would be remarkable if it happened. Typically 90 points is the target for automatic promotion so using that as a yard stick we could afford to drop more points. -
We are clearly going to rotate a lot this season and we have seen how many yellow cards Vestergaard has already picked up. I think the biggest thing that Coady adds is leadership and I can imagine that he has played a pivotal role in changing the mentality at the club. That alone makes him worth it.
