I’m amused by the assumption that every other team has strengthened just because they have bought in this window. To be honest I’ve never heard of most of these strengthening players that teams like Villa, Brighton etc have signed. Some on here may know them and point to their Opta Stats or whatever as reasons to believe they are good but most of these stats have been achieved in Leagues a big step away from Premier League. Just remember the euphoria on here this time last year when the signing of Dakar (he tore the Austrian league apart with his goal scoring) and Soumarre (was instrumental in taking Lille to French title) were announced......Hopefully they both show 2nd season improvement this coming season. You don’t have to look too hard to find plenty of big name Marquee signings by the big boys that have failed .

What an achievement by Mark and all the other mods and administrators to have such a vibrant and diverse forum reach 18 years in existence...... The threads about our common denominator LCFC are equally informative, funny and downright annoying at times but a day never passes without logging on a couple of times. Im a great fan of lots of the non LCFC content especially the other sports threads, and the Music Forum. Hell even The Birds I Fancy off the TV gets the odd visit.....Long May FT continue 🦊

Switched over to Sky Sports news while waiting for match to start and they went live to Kaveh Solekol and where he was reporting from at 8.25 it was Madrid fans stuck outside so it is affecting them as well a few minutes later Kaveh was back this time on phone and not on camera saying him and his crew just had been tear gassed for no reason other than filming and reporting on the chaos yep I’m sure there are loads of people there without tickets from both clubs plus loads of locals trying to get in adding to the chaos but it shows it’s not just scousers being affected and that French police are being indiscriminate with their use of tear gas / pepper spray

Nick Mason and his band A Saucerful of Secrets start their 2022 tour in Dublin tomorrow night. Should have been here in April 2020 but Covid put paid to that 😡 Be interesting to see if he and his band have the same energy and tightness they had in 2020. If it’s anywhere near as good as the gig Live at the Roundhouse from 2020 I’ll be a happy old timer 😜

Don’t like Newcastle as a club but hats off to their fanatical support.....every part of the ground thousands waving flags and singing.......How I wish we could be like that instead of having a couple of small pockets trying to create atmosphere while the majority seem to be happy clappers
