Southampton 2 - 3 Leicester POST MATCH
WigstonWanderer replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
Would have settled for a draw at 2 - 0 down, so fantastic comeback. Perhaps we can put the slow start down to post international week sluggishness. Overall the best performance of the season so far. -
Mavs having a shocker so far
-
Praying for a draw

He talked over her quite a bit as well. I’ll get round to the full thing eventually.
-
I thought she did as well as could be expected in the clips I’ve seen. Admittedly, I haven’t seen the whole thing and these clips were from msnbc.

I’m still sure this chart of Trump’s media company value is the best guide to who is likely to win the election (in a relative sense) and horrifyingly it shows momentum swinging to Trump. https://www.tradingview.com/chart/?symbol=NASDAQ%3ADJT

Southampton vs Leicester (A) - October 19th

Was wondering how deep we were nested. Lost track 😂 -
The reason I remember it is that you went on and on in the climate thread about something I supposedly said in the Covid thread and I was rather taken aback. Anyway, don’t want to stink up this thread, best leave it there.
-
I think you made the same exact quote when I said I’d caught it for the first time about a year ago and was asking for advice here amongst people who probably had more experience than me regarding worries I had about passing it on the my 96 year old father. It really seemed to upset you that I even asked. I live in Western Australia, and for a long time not many people here had caught it, so the cheap piece of Chinese plastic coupled with my own lack of symptoms over the preceding years was probably quite accurate.

I think the excess mortality rates backed up the Covid count

TBF they are sometimes very difficult to open these days. Getting that sealing bit off certainly raises my blood pressure.
-
Heroic defending by the Aussies particularly Souttar but really lacking quality elsewhere Now 1-1
-
Brilliant tackle from Harry!
-
Souttar just about to start for Australia against Japan in a really important match. I don’t think Australia have ever beaten them away from home and I’m not sure if they can qualify for the World Cup if they lose.

Or criticising Putin’s gangster state is anti-Russian

This sounds ominous, but perhaps an obvious positive feedback due to temperatures and other causes. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/oct/14/nature-carbon-sink-collapse-global-heating-models-emissions-targets-evidence-aoe This is one of the reasons that talk of deferring action on climate change, kicking the can down the road, letting the market sort things out at a more appropriate time, etc is so wrong.
-
Who would be dropped though, Faes or Okoli? Both have been playing pretty well.
-
It does feel as if the momentum has shifted away from Harris. Baffles me how anyone can look at Trump and see him as in any way fit for office. I guess Americans see the world rather differently.

Bournemouth (H) 1 - 0 -- Post-Match Thread (5 Oct 24)

At last a win, but lucky to getaway with the scrappy second half performance. Faes MOTM. -
Oh god Soumare
-
Faes is a more valuable player than he’s given credit for
-
Hope we’re not going to sit back for the whole of this half
-
If that wasn’t a handball then I don’t know what could possibly be. Ayew not even a foul, let alone booking. We’re getting fcked over by refs and VAR.

When I was growing up in Wigston, a trump was another word for a fart. I haven’t heard it used much in that way since I left at the age of 12. Is it just a Leicester expression? Perhaps just one of my dad’s old navy words.
