I do seem to remember something similar in the 80s with the gang of 4 (David Owen, Roy Jenkins, etc) being fawned over by the media and riding high in the polls. Eventually petered out and they merged with the Liberals. Their politics was in no way similar to Farage’s mob though, of course.

Ayew gets a lot of stick, but works hard. Tends to hold on too long though and loses possession too often.

Well that’s was shite. We have so little creativity, and of the flair players we have, Monga isn’t being used and Abdul’s not having his best game. Sick of seeing Choudhury just turn back every time he gets it.

I don’t think Souttar has been given a decent chance yet. I’d be glad to see him get a run at this level.

Dreadful. We look as bad this season as we did last, despite being a division lower. Marti’s got his work cut out knocking this lot into shape.

Sorry Ben, that really wasn’t very good. Looked sluggish, clumsy and slow. If reports are to be believed, he must be capable of much better. He’ll need to be to get much match time this season.

Not sure what Cifuentes said at half time but second half was much better with far more urgency compared with the lackadaisical first half. Best half of football I’ve seen from Ayew. Really looked motivated. Made hard work of it but it’s the result that counts.

I guess we’ll have to settle for 8 - 1 This season might be more difficult than I was hoping.
