I know these are first world problems, but there’s really no excuse. Costs me about 3 times as much as Optus Sport did last season, and for that I got every PL match live, highlights, mini match, etc plus Women’s World Cup and most internationals, etc.

Sync problems again. Also the full screen option had been working for me using Edge on an iPad, now seems to not work. SORT IT OUT!!

I went to this too as a 9 year old. Not sure if it was my first match. Memories are of incredible excitement with the crush of the crowd and the noise, the fact we won, and a Denis Law bicycle kick goal.

Very much enjoying this season. We’re the big kids at school, beating up the other kids and nicking their dinner money.

Before the season started, yes, but not now. Need the momentum of going up as champions to face the challenge of the PL. Besides, as a fan of a massive club like City, I’m entitled, right?

Do you know what the scoring system for rugby was in those days? If I remember correctly it was 3 points for a try and 1 for a conversion by the time I started playing at school in the late sixties.

Any chance we could bring back the opposition rating in this poll? I think it would provide another useful metric to discuss. I’m sure it used to be present in a previous iteration of this data.

Probably the best effort from an opposing side this season. We need some of the lads back from injuries.

That was a bit close for my taste

I thought this was the best he’s played, but still gets caught on the ball, runs into trouble, etc.

Sunderland have been pressing us a bit harder than most of the teams we’ve faced in this league so far, and I feel that if there’s a way we can be got at, that’s probably it. Of course, it comes with danger to the opposition because if their press fails we have can strike very quickly, which is probably why not many others have tried it at this level (it will be different in the PL, but that’s for another epoch). We’ve dealt with it pretty well so far, and I suspect that like other teams, Sunderland will tire and hopefully we’ll get more goals in the later stages of the match. Yes, it should have been a penalty.

No excuses now, they’ve had plenty of time to sort out the technical issues. Not as if streaming is cutting edge these days.
