I knew someone very high up at Forest in the Clough days - there is a lot of mythology about Clough. His view echoed that of your uncle - he clearly had huge football attributes but he also had a side (and not just the drinking) that can't be excused as being as of its time. He wouldn't have made a dinner party party very enjoyable by all accounts but it would have been memorable.

You sussed me:)

Shouldn’t be compared to Fofana - different types of defenders and the experience gap is huge. Both wonderful players - Faes has made a bigger impact because he came in when we were a defensive mess and has been instrumental in clearing it up. Look forward to many more games with Faes in our defence and look forward to seeing Fofana continue to develop and become the class act he has the potential to be.

Does Leicester City really need a new goalkeeper?
Balj replied to Iran's topic in Leicester City Forum
We need to look at what a premier league goalkeeper is these days. Shot stopping, commanding the area, marshalling the defenders and distribution. Ward’s shot stopping has always been decent - he lost and has now regained his confidence on that. My concerns are on the other areas - he is poor under pressure in the air and under the high ball, his distribution is lower quartile and he doesn’t marshall the defence - our clean sheets have been as a result of Faes not Ward. Overall, a few games ago he was a here and now liability. He is not that now. So short term no need for an immediate replacement but longer term there is I think. -
I’m loving the clean sheets more than the goals - we’d have crumbled under that pressure not too long ago. Amartey and Thomas in a clean sheet back 4???!!! Our goal difference will be an extra point - season still looks tight to me as lots of teams who could go on a good or bad run yet.

I think the resale platform works well but as its limited to 3 goes it certainly challenges me - not because I can't be bothered going to games but living 50 miles away midweek games are an absolute nightmare. Take into account family holidays/weddings etc you can go over the 3 limit without much difficulty. I've missed a couple of midweeks already (resold on the platform) so statistically I'm likely to go over 3 by the end of the season. The Villa game will be midweek for example. One solution may be to average resales over a longer period say 10 over 2 seasons - appreciate that may be hard to administer but most ST's hold their ST's for more than 2 years. Overall I know the score when I renew so my loss but don't like seeing empty seats.

Well done - including Brendan. Decent game management was a good bonus.

Ward under a high ball - worrying, so worrying…
-
Let’s hope he never meets his Overmaars.

Daka, finishing aside had a good game I thought. Good runs and general contribution

Forgot in the excitement!

Praet for KDH please Brendan

We’re starting to lose some composure

Please God some good game management second half. Don’t sit back, Daka making some excellent runs keeping them occupied, midfield playing well. Defence a bit shaky so please no sitting back on this 🙏

Best English midfielder around at the moment - he’s got a great future.

The Guide’s been out in various editions for a long while - DCMS issue. I suspect with the rise in incidents at football generally it may be being observed more in numbers terms.

Stewarding ratios are normally set by reference to "The Green Guide" - safety at events. I think it typically recommends 1 steward per 250 spectators. The training of them is a different matter! Personally I've always got my flask and drink bottle in no problem but then the search of my rucksack is normally cursory at best - my own coffee over the concourse nonsense is a must, especially as its getting colder:)

If it was being actively marketed for sale then stories from respected financial and sports journalists would have arisen. An out of the blue takeover offer may happen but then again may not. More likely the Club is in a consolidation phase - as part of that financing/refinancing is the norm. It’s a business and part passion project but the passion project is and should be secondary for KP - that’s the same with all their non-core activities I would think. It will inform decision making and influence it but not dictate it.

A Transformed Way To Watch Football Coming This Season.
Balj replied to ElusiveEd's topic in General Football and Sport
As long as it's on the red button and I don't have it as the normal feed I don't care - what an utterly pointless development. What next wear glasses at live games so this stuff gets superimposed over what you're watching. Google or Alphabet will be thinking of that no doubt.... -

Gone -
Thought his confidence grew as the game went on - good performance but unfortunately and fundamentally he's not good enough for the Premier League.
-
Ward’s confidence is high

Please God BR don’t eff this up with stupid subs or going backwards….
