Yeah it's Anthony. Top bloke alright. He's with Limerick's underage academy right now. The only other famous Spurs supporter I know from the GAA is Offaly's Daithi Regan. Around the same age as Dalo. More down to the Ardiless era in the early 80s it would seem. Was out with him and Ken Early on one of those Off The Ball roadshows about 5 years ago, right character. -
Have felt the same myself. I've always held Pearson in higher regard overall in spite of 2015/16. It was great for Ranieri to win a title but even after the win I still felt we would be scraping the Top 10 after it for 3 to 4 years at best had he stayed. I hope he does ok wherever he goes but thats a disastrous start. Not anywhere near as high profile as Leicester but if it ends badly it will cast doubt on his success with us.

Galway into the All Ireland Hurling final. A 1 point win over defending champions Tipperary. Last 15 minutes were highly exciting and was a great score from Galway to win it almost right at the end but would need to improve the next day. They will play Cork or Waterford. 2 of their bogey teams and they dont have a great record in finals themselves. Football semi finals almost decided. Kerry won their quarter final last Sunday against Galway and will play the winners of Mayo and Roscommon who drew and that replay is on tomorrow. Last night Tyrone beat Armagh and Dublin beat Monaghan so will play each other in 3 weeks time. After a very decent football championship the last 2 double headers have been a major letdown in truth.Dublin are up there as one of the great teams in history but Monaghan have less than 1/30th of their population so always likely to be one sided. Armagh made it to the q-f but they are by no means in the top 8 sides in the game. Instead of 8 teams playing q-finals in knockout the sytem changes to a group stage next season. Badly needed as the q-finals has gone completely stale in the last 5 years. -
First game of the season away to Lille today. Starts in 15 minutes. Best of luck Claudio.
-
Hull with a goal. 1-1 after 62 minutes.
-
The darmstadt jako home shirt is very decent. Like Joma they've made some rather nice kits since they left us.
-
Post Live-Aid nonsense from a major irritant but he did put together something half decent every now and then.

Its hard to know. Both those two are the form sides but once the provincial finals are over it starts to get fairly intense. The record of Munster winners in the semis is not great. Believe me I know!! Some crowd of Waterford/Wexford fans out in Cork last night. Met Dalo in Larrys and Tompkins was also there. Dalo was approached by a lot of people all night. Seemed a very sound skin. Rare for a Spurs fan! Met some of the Cork footballers out after. Shattered after it but they gave some display in fairness. Their support is truly diabolical. New Cork stadium is meant to be top notch.Banter between the Cork Waterford fans was class. Everywhere you turned it was non stop Football/Hurling talk.We don't realize at times how good we have it. -

Mayo win by a point 0-27 to 2-20. Cork had chances at the end to draw it but they ran out of steam. Outstanding game. Probably the best of the season so far. Galway beating Donegal 2-7 to 0-5 after 30 minutes. Tipp won the all ireland quarter final in hurling v clare earlier today. -

Another busy weekend in the Football Championship. All Ireland Qualifiers Armagh 1-17 Tipperary 1-15 Monaghan 1-12 Carlow 1-7 The big story here is last years All Ireland semi finalists Tipperary losing out. They were badly hit with injuries and missing players but yet almost beat Cork and Armagh. The squad they had was wafer thin despite some top class players in their team. Armagh didnt look anything special though and neither did Monaghan who were given a bit of a game by Carlow before finishing strong. Neither team looks to be in the shake up later in the year. Ulster Final Tyrone 2-17 Down 0-15. Routine win for Tyrone here. Down's limitations were exposed here after 2 surprise wins against Armagh and Monaghan. Tyrone were rampant after half time and the 1st goal finished the game off. The 2nd goal was a great finish. Like Tipperary Down havent got their strongest squad available and Monaghan making the final would have been a far better prospect. Leinster Final Dublin 2-23 Kildare 1-17 9 point win for All ireland champions Dublin but Kildare made life difficult for them. Kildare gave a really good account of themselves tough after giving away 2 early goals and look to be a team to watch out for. Was always gonna be a big ask against a team close to the greatest of all time but was worthwhile for them and they knew the qualifiers would be on the cards. Will be very interesting how they get on next. Dublin played some great stuff at times yesterday and the sheer movement and ball playing ability is a thing of wonder. -

Roscommon with a surprise win in the Connacht football final over Galway 2-15 to 0-12. Galway were talked up big time after beating Mayo last month but they were a shambles today. Sets up Cork V Mayo and Galway v donegal in the qualifiers. Cork win the Munster Hurling final 1-25 to 1-20. Cork the better team and Clares approach left a lot to be desired. Hit a lot of wides out the field which drained confidence no end and also did nothing to stop Corks goalie finding his man. Clare along with beaten Leinster finalists Wexford will play either Tipperary or Waterford in the All Ireland quarter finals in 2 weeks time. Draw is on tomorrow morning. -

Clare could have been further ahead. Jamie missed a goal chance in the first half that could have put ye ahead by 5 or 6. Mayo were awful in the first half but showed why they are one of the better teams of the last 5 years after the break. Setup for mayo kerry quarter final. Bit of talk around the place today. Not much colour around. Confident but a small bit wary of what ye can do. Ourselves and Cork are all too aware of what he's capable of the last 2 decades. Big crowd heading down from Cork. Pubs will be packed tomorrow for it. Enjoy tomorrow. -

Fair play to waterford. Huge goal in extra time after missing that free. Kilkennys golden age is over surely. Shades of kerry football 1987 about them this season. Jamie barrons having a party! -

Waterford were winning by 9 points against kilkennny with about 15 minutes to go in the hurling qualifiers but somehow have managed to squander it. Missed a free at the end of normal time to win it. This is a total bottle job. Great finish though. Heading for extra time on sky sports 3. -

Riyad Mahrez - The great Artist
Blue ROI replied to The whole world smiles's topic in Leicester City Forum
How Mahrez has acted since the end of season has annoyed me greatly. Leicester has been the best thing that has ever happened him and he might have barely broken into Ligue 1 by now only for us. I doubt he'd have anything like the acclaim in Algeria also. Other than 2015/16 he has been a functional player for us. He never raised his game to the same levels as almost everyone else did from Liverpool onwards. I accept that we're likely to be a stepping stone for players to move onto bigger things. That's part of being a Leicester supporter. I don't class Kante as a Leicester legend (a legendary season/player no doubt) because he was here for a short time but he got on with giving it his all for us with the worlds attention on him and even if say Vardy or Kasper did decide to go the passion they've shown for us will still make them fondly remembered. Making it public that he didnt want to stay is very hard to take. If someone is interested in you and you back it up with the right displays for the current club then fair enough. Being half arsed for close to the whole season and then gettng ready to up sticks is very bad form. -

Kerry 1-23 Cork 0-15. Kerry won at their ease. The first time since the early 80s they won by more than 10 points in Killarney against Cork. Cork were atrocious in the second half. With all the playing numbers and underage success they are like a Newcastle United or Aston Villa when it comes to underperforming. Galway 0-29 Wexford 1-17 Same kind of result here. Wexford battled well for most of he first half but Galway were far superior in the second half as the game fizzled out. Serious contenders to win the All Ireland. Dull enough day of it. Been exciting overall so far and like the champions league gets fairly tasty around the quarter final stages.
