  1. Yes I think that was it, I remember the main brothel was in leafy Cheltenham. As a crime investigation documentary the current one on the beeb ‘ The Met’ is well made. The nonsensical motives that laid behind the Brixton stabbing shown last week, illustrate just how dangerous some parts of this country are. Have you been watching it.
  2. ‘Diplomatic immunity officer’ whenever I think of Joss Ackland. As you say fine actor.
  3. Getting my channels mixed up. The one I was thinking about was on Channel 4-Taken: Hunting the sex traffickers.
  4. The ending was a real gut punch. They basically murdered him. Incredibly brave lad having to go through that twice.
  5. Watched one last year on sex trafficking.
  6. Absolute morons, completely incoherent. If they had been American, they would have stormed the Capitol for Trump on Jan 6th.
  7. Two good goals. Well done Wolves.
  8. Some of the worse set-pieces I’ve seen this season. Do Wolves practise them do you think? Happy for this to age badly!
  9. Yes and I am not even going to pretend I wasn't serious! In my own defence it was pretty early this morning. 😂
  10. I would like to go back to an old style Nokia, so just good for calls/texts. Pathetic to say but I am addicted to the apps, everything from checking my fantasy score to the new tastecard. I don't think I can do without it now, as some apps are essential like the live national rail app(I commute 3 times a week).
  11. Honestly is this some sort of joke? Does the VAR guy even watch the game in real time, or is he one of those security men you see in TV comedy/dramas that glance at the monitors every once in a while and miss the 'break in'. Hard to believe they have 89 camera angles and still can't see if a ball went out of play!
  12. Sorry, but that's just nonsense. Extreme language, ref strikes, I don't think so. Most managers, just like most fans don't have a lot of confidence in how VAR is being used/managed. There are too many mistakes and it's sucking the enjoyment out of football.
  13. Think I have changed my mind on this decision. Just saw this posted on an Arsenal website. Looks fairly conclusive . Yet they did not have the camera angles to show the pictures on Sky TV! I can well understand why managers get pissed off.
  14. He should have spoken about the Guimaraes forearm smash, rather than the goal, which was probably right to stand. How VAR did not view that as a sending off offence was the real issue for me.
  15. Richard Roundtree the original John Shaft, great iconic film and score.
  16. Real shame, nice lady by all accounts and loved ' Drop the dead donkey'.
  17. It was a good performance by Coogan, but at times he did look at bit Partridge like, probably because Savile himself was such an absurd figure. The man was so smarmy and abrasive, it was not surprising that most people portrayed in the drama did not appear to like him. I then watched the Theroux documentary on him, for the first time on BBC archives the other night and Coogan had captured him really well.
  18. The coverage is getting more and more difficult to watch every day and to say it's dispiriting is an understatement.
  19. Daryl Dixon Walking Dead on AMC. Half way point through the series and apart from a slightly annoying child actor have really enjoyed it. Parisian locations make for some great visuals.
  20. Piper Laurie, 91. Really good actress in The Hustler, Carrie, Children of a Lesser God and loads of other stuff.
  21. What a deeply horrible woman. Interviews like this just continue to feed the narrative, that Israel do not see the Palestinians as their equal.
  22. Don't usually watch Trevor Phillip's Sunday morning show, but just caught a little bit of it. Quite impressed with journalist Rachel Shabi's take on the crisis. Whilst acknowledging the terrorism committed by Hamas last weekend, she was fiercely critical of Israel's response. When asked by Phillips why did the Palestinians elect Hamas in 2006, she responded by saying it had to be viewed in the context of decades of occupation/apartheid by Israel. As there have been no further elections since, difficult to gauge how much genuine popular support Hamas enjoyed before the catastrophic events of the past week.
  23. So Israel now tells the entire population of 1.1 million in Gaza City to relocate south, within 24 hours before they invade it. The UN have called the order impossible and has urged Israel to revoke it, as it will ' have devastating humanitarian consequences'. Meanwhile, no Western politician will dare criticize Israel over it's bombardment of Gaza, or it's cutting off the region's water supply and electricity. I have no problem with them wanting to wipe Hamas out, if that was even possible, but I do have a problem with their methodology . I am so proud to be a member of the human race right now.
  24. So glad that we have ended that embarrassing abysmal run. Man City are of course still favourites to win the league again, but they are far from unbeatable. Just shows how much they miss Rhodri.
  25. There has been subjugation of one side over the other since 1948, hence this bloody mess. There is no end in sight and will sadly continue, as there is no world wide political will to stop it, how many UN resolutions have Israel ignored?
