British Gas, joke of a company. We have been mis billed (if that’s a word) twice recently to the tune of £764, effectively doubling our outstanding bill! This has gone on for months. They would like to pay us a £75 goodwill payment in acknowledgment . That’s like me offering someone 10p in compensation.

Attica on Prime. Powerful documentary on the 1971 prison riot in up state New York. Basically state sponsored mass murder sanctioned by Nelson Rockefeller and Richard Nixon. Pretty graphic and not for the faint hearted.

Watched the final episode of True Detective Night Country. The ending was so left field and ludicrous, that it for me ruined what had up until that point been a very watchable claustrophobic drama.

You are right, it is a warts and all from the Israeli perspective. Thing is, at least two of the main actors including the Doron character have taken part in Israeli actions, since the Hamas attack and one of them the guy who played Sagi was seriously injured demolishing tunnels last month. It is quite a unique scenario and to say it blurs the line between fiction and reality is an understatement.

Enjoyed watching it at the time ( about a year ago). Would find it more difficult to watch now because of current events.

Yes if it’s the documentary I am thinking of it was simply called ‘Navalny’. It was an interesting watch. The thing is he did fight against Putin, constantly criticising him and his regime. That of course was the reason they tried to kill him in 2020. Shame he did not feel he could carry on doing that from outside Russia, as he would have surely outlived Putin. Not sure what he was hoping to achieve by returning.

Why on earth did he return to Russia a year after being poisoned by them. Surely he was more of a thorn in their side aggravating from the west than dying in some prison hell-hole.

No the programme is not a fake. It concerns Avon and Somerset police and it focusing on three appalling cases of police misconduct . Quite distressing to watch, as it shows police body cam footage for two of the incidents.

Yes I have watched that one too. It seems confirmation bias is systemic within the American Justice system. The police ‘find’ the evidence, which fits their perception of events and the DA’s office appear to happily go along with it. All they seem to care about is securing the conviction they want, doesn’t matter to them if logic dictates either wise.

Trial 4, 8 part documentary on Netflix about the corruption in the Boston Police Department and one man’s battle to clear his name. I have watched a great many of these documentaries over the last few years, but this is possibly the best one I have seen. Absolute riveting and compelling watching. His lawyer was brilliant.
