Has any team ever done three relegations in a row?
-
Defender doesn't get the ball, but he doesn't get the man either. Poor decision.
-
With the right coaching, yes. It's hard to judge players in our current team as the place is the pits. People like Justin stepped back into the Prem after looking awful for us.

I think there's a huge amount of resentment built up in the fan base and so it doesn't take a huge amount for them to flip. Many have been pushed into apathy and then hatred of this team. I think at times this has lead to noise from the stands which is ultimately more likely to have a detrimental effect on the team. Although it was shambolic to concede that early goal at home to Sheff Utd, I did think the reaction to it from the stands made the capitulation more likely rather than less. See also ironic cheers when Stol successfully makes a pass, or Ayew being booed on. This hasn't happened every game though. I thought the fans for Norwich home were largely positive and even offered encouragement when we'd gone behind, to no effect. The club is toxic at the moment and I don't see it improving any time soon.

At the time I thought it was a sensible appointment that was a few weeks late. It at least seemed to recognise the situation we found ourselves in, and I thought if he could get our defence sorted we'd be fine. In those early games I do think it looked night and day in terms of shape. Under Cifuentes we were constantly exposed at the back by teams. Rowett has generally made us a little more robust, though he is working with some absolute morons. However, the results sort of speak for themselves. That early promise against teams higher up the division hasn't converted into wins against weaker opponents. This is despite often taking the lead in games, he hasn't been able to find a way for us to press home that advantage. Not losing is fine, but we'd have been better with a couple more losses and a couple more wins. You can see this by comparison of our time with Rowett to Blackburn over the same(ish) period. Under O'Neill they've lost 4 of 10, compared to the 2 of 9 we've lost under Rowett. But they've also won 3 games to our 1. We're running at 1ppg compared to their 1.3. it's why they're safe and we're going down. He's had multiple opportunities to find a way to see out a game and convert the win too. But he's not shown anywhere near enough for me to want him to stick around beyond the end of this season.

Agreed. Feels futile looking at other teams' fixtures knowing we wouldn't capitalise anyway.
-
Big ifs here, but if Portsmouth lose the game in hand AND lose to us, then I think we finish ahead of them.
-
The question back to him would be why we're not able to sit on a lead and protect it ourselves. Given ourselves more leads than we've given opposition under him.
-
Yeh I think unfortunately his contract was extended, so he'll be around unless someone is willing to take him.
-
We've been given such a nice run of games and consistently found a way to **** it up. And even after all those **** ups, I think winning our next two would probably keep us up. I have no faith in us winning another game though, though I'll give us Blackburn as it probably won't matter by then. Swansea D Portsmouth D Hull L Millwall L Blackburn W 45 points. Relegated along with Portsmouth.

At times this season I've watched games and wondered what the hell we work on in training. Well today I could see it. It's just a shame the over-hitting crosses strategy didn't work.
-
QPR (h) Preston (h) Sheff Weds (a) 2 points. We're gone.
-
Great touch and finish to be fair to him
-
In the same way Ayew slows everything down when up front, I feel like Winks in the mid sends the wrong message. It means we're gonna play possession football for possession sake. Maybe we should try having a ****ing go at them?
-
Feel like league 1 makes a sale less likely, not more. Bizarre that some of our own fans want us down.
-
Would very much like this to be a draw. But other results will mean nothing unless we do the job we're given today.

He's fun to watch when things are going well but he's brain dead. Did that nutmeg near our box against QPR. Just thinking about his own highlights reel rather than being a team player. I used to think over coaching a la Maresca was holding him back but I was wrong. He needs a manager who will reign him in. -
It's unlikely but if we beat Sheff Weds that could be 1 behind West Brom or 3 behind Blackburn with them still to play. Big if admittedly.
-
Next season likely to be our lowest ever position in the football league.
-
His confidence is shot. Been a few instances this season when he should have scored and he hasn't. Whatever the opposite of the hot hand is, that's what we're seeing. Unfortunately Monga has dropped off a cliff too and looks a completely different player to the one who started the season.
-
Feel like we've wasted too many good opportunities to stay up now, but Monday could be decisive. Portsmouth v Oxford Blackburn v West Brom Sheff Weds v Leicester Kind of need a perfect set of results (draw, Blackburn, us) which would make it 2 from 4 to drop, with just 3 points between the lot. Quite fancy Oxford to win though.
-
Sadly we didn't get a Villa type moment to save us from relegation. 1mm, 1m, over is over.
-
Surely we can't f this one up can we? Simply has to be a win. Think we've been a little timid under Rowett recently so not confident.
-
Ignoring everything around the performance of the team, it was a clear red. I hate VAR but when Champ refs have days like today it makes it difficult to argue against.

We've taken, and surrendered, a lot of leads under Rowett.
