Carra refusing to call a dive a dive because it was done by a Liverpool player.
-
Not the player he once was but Ndidi makes such a difference to us.
-
I remember loads of the Palace fans online talking about his ability to win free kicks. I didn't realise that this was his whole game. Loads of times he gets the ball he just shields it and then falls over when he feels slightly contact.
-
Glad I decided to stay home for this one.
-
Chelsea look awful. Real drop off. Absolutely no guarantee of CL.
-
He seems to start from an aggressive position too but just ran straight back to his line once the kick was taken. Don't think he covered himself in glory with the header itself either. Looks like he'll need some time getting back to his best.

Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official

I think Buonoanotte and El Khannous behind a striker in a 3-4-2-1 could work well. But if there's one central attacking mid then you'd have to play El Khannous at the moment wouldn't you? -
Is relegation a price worth paying for avoiding a PSR breach?

Mavididi, Vardy, Winks, Fatawu, Vestergaard, Justin all likely to be around next season, and all proved too good for the Champ last season. A lot of these players have very recently been tested in the Champ, and proved themselves to be very strong in that division. -
We'd be in a strong position to come back and will still have a lot of players on the books who proved this last time. Suspect there will be a managerial change so final position will depend a lot on that, but expect us to be top 6. There's a lot of emotions running high at the moment but most relegated clubs are fighting promotion the season after. Leeds failed and sold decent players yet could still win the title this year. A poor Burnley and Sheff Utd also in the mix. And all at a lower pace than we set. There won't be an embargo, we'll likely have a couple of assets to shift to bridge the revenue gap a little, and I think it may well only be the relegated clubs receiving any sort of parachute payment next season. I think I'd have Ipswich as favourites but you could see them lose Delap, Hutchinson, and McKenna quite feasibly.
-
No grounds for an embargo of any sort. Shaky ground for some sort of retrospective points deduction if they fancied trying it.
-
If we get a deduction then it will be for the historic charge. They have no grounds for imposing an embargo.
-
Feels like the initial story of the bid suggests a more generous offer than was actually made. A loan where they may not have to buy in the summer doesn't make sense for us. If they come back in with an offer to buy then yes we should be listening.
-
Dawson getting payment for that goal in 2016.

Bring back Merlin stickers!

Wouldn't really mind Facundo going back were we to use that for a sensible PL loan in.
-
If we'd gone for very little activity to balance the books I'd have accepted that. If we'd gone for a bigger spend to gamble on staying up, with some young sellable assets, I could have accepted that. Instead we took our small budget and spunked in on Oliver ****ing Skipp.
-
Really tedious game. Could probably have done with City scoring first.
-
Another Old Trafford loss for United.
-
I know we like a panic here but Saints had lost the 6 league games prior to their win this weekend and were playing the team in 19th. They're deservedly finishing bottom.
-
I'm not advocating for reckless spending it just feels like there should be room to manoeuvre unless the wage structure is still somehow mental. January always a terrible time for doing business and we've screwed ourselves with a terrible summer window, but if feels like the finances should be more in order now.
-
I don't understand how this lack of activity can be an PSR thing unless I'm missing something obvious. I know there's a rule change coming but that seemed to make PSR less onerous. We've got a -£90m year dropping off the 3-year period and just turned a profit on Cannon which would roughly cancel out the Okoli transfer this year. Skipp was £25m so about a £5m hit this year, Ayew about £1.5m. Should be looking to post something between -£30m and -£40m so there should be plenty of headroom? Just screams of inefficient identifying and completing purchases of targets.

Everton 4-0 LCFC, post match thread

Awful. No positives at all. Poison in the veins of this club at the moment. A reprieve handed to us by others but it matters not when we don't have the stones to make the most of it. -
Feels like Fulham away last time we dropped to me. Going into it thinking we should be able to be competitive and maybe get something and we no show and get dicked. Awful.
-
Can we make the Arsenal protest a no show to the game please?
-
There comes a point when Ruud is going to have to mix up the personnel and formation a bit. We've got too many weak spots in this formation defensively and it isn't translating to strong attacking either. The more I look at the players we have available the more I think we should see how a 352 fares given it seems like newcomers won't be coming in to patch up our weak spots.
