  1. Justin can’t even kick the ball ffs. Probably score now.
  2. Sorry but Ricardo, Buonanotte and Justin there were pathetic. All three had a basic opportunity to clear it, Ricardo and Justin bodged it and Buonanotte didn’t even try.
  3. A lot of what he does winds me up, but whilst the points are coming he stays in the job. There won’t be much credit in the bank when a bad run comes though. We need to be walking out of Forest and Ipswich with a bare minimum of 3 (preferably 4 points) to go into the tough run of games after.
  4. Well at least he changed it correctly, but ffs just play what’s obviously the best set of players.
  5. His style might work and keep you up, but the regression is just getting worse and nobody wants to watch this shit. The comparison to us this season v them compared to last season should be an enough for those in charge on the back of what’s already happened this season.
  6. Off ya pop…
  7. He's also behind Ayew who has only played 90 minutes more. Does that mean Ayew is almost special?
  8. Potter has done little to deserve a shot at it, Howe more so but even that's hardly amazing. Best of a bad bunch, pathetic we can't create managers really.
  9. All we are doing is securing loans against assets, just as people do with their houses. It doesn't mean we HAVE to use our parachute payments, or premier league money to pay them, they don't suddenly take all the money. It's just secured against them if we default; in reality, the amount owed each season is far less than the premier league and parachute money. Plus, we have billionaires who could just consolidate the loans if they really really needed to... yes there are question marks about them, but they've always done what's needed in terms of finances.
  10. Well that's tosh if he said it, considering he installed his own man and literally said he has the final say on all signings.
  11. Hmmmmm consdiering you'd have to go back to mid 2001 to find me saying anything remotely nice about Rodgers or defending him I wouldn't be so sure. Neither have I said we'll be ok, merely pointing out Claphams post the other day which clearly showed few over the course of a season perform to their "expected level", could be more, could be worse.
  12. I don't know, he posted something from last season the other day to show nobody really performed to their "expected numbers" over the course of the season.
  13. But as he pointed out the other day and as he's alluding to, few teams perform to the "underlying numbers"
  14. Dunno what the £600m stuff has to do with anything really. That’s over nearly a decade, we spent heavily to keep good players at the club happy and well paid, we bought lots of good players, which we then sold on, spent on the training ground and land for ground expansions etc. Yeah we overspent on wages and wasted money on players, but show me a club outside of Man City that’s not wasted hundreds of millions on players. We messed up, we all know that but few clubs escape that at some point as nobody is faultless.
  15. So exactly where we are then.
  16. Because it's not what he wants, all his guff about posession and atractive football, or being inspired by x, y, z spanish coach is, from what I can tell so far, a tall tale. I wrote a long post this morning about my biggest gripe with his is the fact he's sold himself as something he's quite clearly not (which for some reason vanished or didn't post), I fell for it and the board probably fell for it as well. Perhaps I'm too trusting in what people say. That's not to say his way can't keep us up, it can. But whilst trying to paint himself as some expansive forward thinking coach, he's so far just proved to be your usual bog standard limited british coach. Trading standards should probably have a word about false advertising.
  17. But that's based on absolutely nothing but the fact you dislike him.
  18. Just booked for the o2 extra date! Hotel and best tickets in the place! Not a bad deal.
  19. You are correct, didn’t notice they’d split home and away into different columns on the one I looked at. But it was 5 teams last season and has been numerous times. Anyone making out we are somehow fortunate this season because of it are wide of the mark, because it’s happened with 5 teams plenty and basically makes little difference.
  20. I don’t think it’s clear at all, in fact barring one article by some red top no mark, which clearly stated it was just players not being picked that had an issues (just as some did with Enzo), I’d say there is precisely zero evidence at this moment in time, other than in people’s heads
  21. Have to say I disagree there also and I love Pearson. Tactically he was never the best.
  22. That’s revisionism IMO, we never got battered and there were a fair few games we deserved more. But we absolutely did play shit plenty of times.
  23. 1) 6 teams didn't have a win at this stage last season from what I can see, we'd be in exactly the same position last season. Out of the bottom three the season before and 16th the season before that (6 teams without a win again), and 16 th the year before that. I'm failing to see what's so drastically different. 2) Subjective of course, and it's not been great by any stretch. But it is just 5 games. 3) Who would you drop instead of Skipp? Presuming you don't want the 3 DM's people have constantly moaned about? Ndidi got two assists against Palace, and I don't really see Skipp as another Winks, personally.
