We don't know what's been spent, we only know what our borrowing was secured against. For example, whilst we secured a loan against TV rights previously, it stated in the accounts that £9m was owned against the TV rights facility. So at that point a £9m loan was secured against an £80m incoming. I think people need to distinguish between what we actually borrowed and owe, and what it was secured against. If you borrow £20k to buy car and secure it against your house, you don't owe the value of your house. The details are far more intricate that just security = X and thus we must also have borrowed X.

I presume that's the higher amount still?

Is it because we came down, went up and came down again?

We will still have two years remaining on parachute payments, don't forget. Year 2: around £30m to £35m Year 3: around £15m

Everton appealed and went from 10 points to 6. Forest appealed and got no reduction, but also no increase. The notion that you'll get an increase automatically for not bending over and taking what you're given isn't based on anything. They could review the whole case, and come up with another outcome, but it mostly went against us anyway. The bit that didn't, the premier league appealing the decision also, to get more points on us. So quite honestly we need to try and defend ourselves the best we can, and that includes also appealing. I know it's frustrating and we all want it done and dusted, but even without an appeal it's still going to drag on because of the premier league.

Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast
Babylon replied to Ric Flair's topic in Leicester City Forum
You can do that now, just stop going. I did and don't regret it for a second, I only wish I'd done it a few years earlier. -
You missed the part where he left 28 voicemails, sent 175 texts, 4 letters and an owl, spending three weeks waiting for them to return obvious "no".

He did, but it took him time to weed them all out. Not sure he's a quick fix, tactically he's never been amazing. What he's good at was creating an ethos around the club and having a core of reliable players that he brought in. All of that takes time, and money to sort out. No matter how much I love him, I think we need someone who can grind out results now.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
Babylon replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Unless they have a copy of last week's pay slips, they are not "confirmed". Capology is a load of shit, just like every other website purporting to know wages of platers. A load of people repeating their made-up shit doesn't make them more accurate, FFS. They're scraping the internet and newspapers for alleged wages, which aren't facts. Case in point in 2022 / 2023 they have our payroll for the first team as £84m. Our CONFIRMED costs of wages is £180m for that period. Now, that figure includes ladies team, youth team, club staff. But they aren't going to be on so much that it adds another ONE HUNDRED MILLION. -
Macquarie Loan for Parachute Payments Rolled Over
Babylon replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Not necessarily, it just means they offer us a loan facility that's secured against future payments. It does not mean that the money is gone already. I've not read this document, but that's what most of the previous ones have been. Similar to you taking a loan from the bank for £50k that's secured against your house. The security is only there if you don't pay the money you owe to them as and when it's due. There are a few things to consider, for instance, Money is paid in stages by the league and premier league. So whilst you might have, say a guaranteed £100m, you don't physically get the money at the start of the season. So these guys give you a loan facility enabling you access to some money up front during the season. Just because it's secured against prize money, also doesn't mean it's secured against ALL of the prize money. It could be a £30m loan facility that's secured against £100m worth of prize money. You can pay that money back whenever you want, however you want. They only take the money from the league IF you default on your payments to them. Exactly like a normal loan, you pay it back monthly and they only take your house if you don't pay for months on end and default. The house here being prize money and parachute payments etc. So, we could pay it back when we take the parachute payments from the league, or we sell a player, or King Power decide to make a loan, that's used to pay off the debt and then they wipe that out. -
Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
Babylon replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
When we WON our cases last time, it took a long time for the results to be published. eg. EFL statement came about result on the 6th Marc 2024. The panel looking at it told the EFL about their decision on the 16th January 2024. Then even directed the league to make the statement decision public on or as soon as practical after the 2nd Feb (They waited another month). The club the league and the panel had all agreed to keep the decision quiet until the closure of the transfer window. "The Panel directs at the joint request of the parties that, until closure of the January transfer window on 1 February 2024, the fact and content of this Decision shall remain confidential between the parties and their legal advisors and shall not, without the prior written consent of the Panel, be disclosed to any third parties. 67. The Panel directs that on, or as soon as practicable after, 2 February 2024, the EFL shall publish this Decision on its website." There was backwards and forwards with difference evidence for about a month, with a final oral hearing on the 11th January 2024 in that case. It could very well be that we've once again won our case and thus, we are just awaiting the release of the details. If a points deduction HAD been decided on, I'd presume for the benefit of other clubs, they'd have to release that instantly. There could of course be other reasons, we are still submitting evidence, we've found other loop holes. Who knows... -
Saw the statement and thought to myself, well it couldn't have been that bad. Oh how I was wrong. How any single person can even begin to do anything but slate those involved in singing that I don't know. It's a game of football, you might not like people are the club, you might not like their decisions, but bloody hell that song, as the club said crossed a line. Well it doesn't so much cross the line, as jump over it by about 10 ft, then go back and shit on said line. There is nothing remotely "happy clappy" about thinking that's utterly disgusting. There is NO excuse for that, doesn't matter what they've done, and certainly not making some shit football decisions. That's not something blurted out in a moment of anger either, which I could understand at times, whilst not condoning. They've had to mull that over, come up with it, try and get it going goodness knows how many times. And at no point did their tiny little pea brain think that was not a good thing to sing, wow.

More rubbish that you can't back up I see. Not posted on here for 6 months and you are still utterly gagging to just make something up about me. Glad I'm still living rent free in there.

Posts like this are precisely why I don't bother with this forum any more, that and getting banned constantly for trying to defend myself against the nonsense. I'll leave this here: Defending SOME things, doesn't mean you defend ALL things. I appreciate your good wishes, though, I'm fine.

How exactly is it rubbish? Do enlighten me on this one, how exactly is top involved in the transfer process at LCFC? Do you think he’s sat with our budget in a closed envelope and not told all the other senior executives at the club? Do you think he’s the only one who can sign a document at the club? If, for some reason someone at the club would even need to make contact with him. I do believe phones exist in Thailand last time I checked.

Why? What does it matter? It has ZERO impact on anything we are doing.

Also known as, bunch of fannies get their knickers in a twist about literally nothing and need spoon feeding as they can’t hold their emotions together.

Yawn… Yeah I’m sure he should be down at the KP waiting to… I dunno, make a comment for the website or something. Or maybe sign a cheque, because bank transfers don’t exist.
-
Obligation: Morally or legally bound to do something… They would be legally bound to purchase them if promoted at that price. It’s the very definition of an obligation
-
What on earth do people think he should be doing? Ringing around trying to find a winger or something? People have lost their minds
