We absolutely do get it, and whilst you don't get it until the end of the season, all clubs will use that guaranteed income to budget. So, it will have, in theory, been spent already, but certainly not all on loan repayments.
-
That's pretty much what mine was when I bought 12 years ago. People have gotten way too used to mega-cheap credit.
-
God, I hate FFP; the horse bolted a long time ago in terms of spending within your means, we've allowed your Man Citys and Chelsea to do what they want, and now they want to shut the door. Just let people spend what they want, BUT... anything above income has to be paid for by the owners, not leveraged on the club and ring-fenced in an account.

The problem with Rodgers was that he only cares about brand Rodgers. Anything and everything coming out of his mouth was self serving. If he’d not been like that and embraced some of the difficulties we faced with a different attitude, we’d never have got relegated.
-
1) Because he was playing for a team who expected more and actually had more of the ball. 2) Ndidi isn't Kante, he wasn't breaking the lines and countering anything like Kante was. He was integral to how we played. 3) He was our one absolutely indisputably world class player, a player who dragged others through along with him due to his sheer brilliance and doggedness. He'd have made an absolutely massive differnce to us.

Good lord we do some really nice stuff and then just have total brain farts at the key attacking moment don’t we.

C) Take the money. Invest half of it, and use the other half to pay off some of your mortgage... BUT... keep your payments the same and overpay your mortgage far quicker. You have a nice middle ground then. I was mortgage-free 5 years to the day I bought my house by overpaying dramatically each month. The financial freedom that comes with knowing nobody can take your house no matter what; you can't put a price on it. It enabled me to start my own businesses, which means I work about 2/3's the amount I used to for twice the money. I'd never have made that jump without the financial freedoms that come with it. There is more you can do, cut back on hours etc. Quality of life is what it's all about.

I'm talking about pundits who weren't really watching us other than highlights. Obviously, to the fans, it was pretty instant.

It took a good 6 or 7 months for people to realise what they were seeing, but they were mostly on the train end of Jan onwards.
-
I would say you are right, but only ever so slightly.

I’ve watched fook all football, hence why I said just going on goals. I’ve not watched him to know if he looks different. Going off goals based on two seasons is rather dangerous to make judgement on that alone.

Have the very vast majority not said it's because of the slow pace, is that not his tactics? And is the whole point of someone saying they are bored of the football, specifically IN the tactics thread, a criticism of the tactics in an entertainment sense, seeing as that's what the thread is about. Personally I've reached that stage now, where entertainment and excitement and not just wins are needed to keep me engaged. I fully appreciate what he's done so far, how it wasn't an easy position to take over, despite out wealth of talent. My feelings aren't really down to him, I'd already given up and needed someone special to keep me interested like I used to be. That's not how I've always been, but with added responsibilities in terms of family and a business, if it's not something special I'm better off using my time elsewhere and that's what I've done. If this was a decade ago I'd be happy as Larry I think.

Not sure there is a big enough sample is there to know for sure, if we are talking purely on goals. There have been plenty of players with a good season or two who don't do much afterwards. Especially if their teams start to struggle, or change managers.
-
Did I say there was? What there was were plenty of people saying 1st or 2nd. So the notion EVERYONE was saying otherwise simply isn't true. There were loads of people massively excited by the new manager (not me, total unknown).
-
I've just looked, that's not true.
-
Yeah, only talk tactics if it’s positive comments and not negative comments. If the tactics lead to people feeling bored, it’s a valid opinion. So pehaps the thought police can just ignore those posts if they don’t like it.

It's very much down to us doing all you could ever dream of and more. A long time ago I said I'd retire if I saw us win the FA cup... I saw that AND the Premier league. Although, when I've seen an enjoyable, high tempo interesting game, it reminds me why I loved it. A bit more of that and I'd probably get the bug back, because now for me it's more about entertainment.
-
I'm the same; gave up my season ticket this season (was happening whether we got relegated or not). I don't watch much football on tv any more, I've only been down to two games, and barring a few spells of good football, I'd been bored rigid again when I watched. The manager has done a grand job; you can't argue with the results. But football isn't for me at the moment. Going down on Saturday, all I got was reassurance that I'd made the right decision.

We have so little going on in Leicester that I'm sure there will be a rush to buy them, with loads then being touted nearer the time when people realise they've not had a half-decent record for a decade or more, and they are missing their frontman, so they aren't even half the live act they were.
-
There is a difference between not being found guilty and having the league say we basically did nothing wrong an it was merely an interpretation issue of the rules. They changed them numerous times after that. That said, I'm not naive. The league likely gave in on that to get a quick resolution, rather than a costly drawn out affair. I think we all know we trie to bend the rules.

A football fan would be a start.
