Except immigration has piss all to do with the housing crisis - the lack of council stock and affordable new builds is the issue. The wholesale mismanagement of housing (something Gove absolutely definitely promised to fix) is one of Raynor’s two key ambitions for office. Immigration is essential for the funding of pension payments, growing the economy and staffing all of our social services. Nothing is more guaranteed to take me from feeling chipper to explosive ranting faster than someone whining about immigration - which is why I don’t canvass.

Daughter has been coating a pair of boots with tiny shiny stuff. She’s been doing it since she got her Swift tickets as she’s planned a whole sparkly outfit. I don’t reckon. I reckon he’s just a combination of privileged, weak and wholly unsuited to the job. He didn’t get the role from an election, and he’s now showing why there should be an election every time a sitting government chooses to change its leader. Sunak would never have been elected after Truss - and the country would’ve been all the better for it.

No matter how badly I wanted the Tories to get reamed at this election, this is just beyond my wildest speculation. Like watching Rudkin handing out contracts, it just keeps getting worse. You think, oh he can’t fvck it up anymore - and there he goes again.
