I think he's at a point in his career where he really needs to excel and prove his worth. I don't think being a back up player, playing every now and again, will be of benefit to him at all. Needs to be playing consistently. There's clearly a player in there, somewhere, but he's looked none existent every time he's featured and i can't see that changing with him sat on the bench for the majority of the season.

Not sure we really need to single out Ayew. I mean, he hit the target which is already better than BEK. Ayew hate is getting a bit boring now, especially as - whether people like it or not - he's actually one of the better players in our squad (yes worrying i know)

Not particularly bothered about being knocked out the cup but Christ do we look bad in both games so far. Literally not a single area we look decent in.

Presumably you mean Nelson & Alves who are 21 and 20 respectively - not 14 year old children. I think people just expect to see some level of quality. Nelson has been a bomb scare and Alves might aswell have stayed at home. Baring in mind these are players that people have been begging to be regular starters this season, and people wanting Nelson as captain. Don't agree with 'hate' but also don't disagree with people voicing their opinion or disappointment. Its only opinions, ultimately they're the ones playing professional football earning silly money and we're the ones sat at home bickering

Hate to be that guy, and I know hes one of the younger ones, but from what I've seen of Nelson hes been an absolute bomb scare. If thats Coady, Faes, vesty etc they are getting pelters. Two stone wall penalties in the two games ive seen him and a third that, on another day, would also be a penalty. Needs to switch on, regardless of his age. Alves needs to improve too or go out on loan.

Happy with that. Manager has balanced being able to see some more of our regular starters, with giving youth some time, with actually putting out a team to get through to the next round. Nice!

Yeah, probably worded wrong. I meant more as in competitive in terms of the quality being good. The championship is competitive, because it's 24 teams competing to be slightly less shit than each other. Theres very little quality in the league which is why it can make the likes of Faes & Winks look good.

Would happy him start for us this season, and give him full support, but don't want him anywhere near the club should we ever return to a competitive league.

Arrived at LCFC for the clash against Sheffield Wednesday. Went to the first floor to see that they have changed the layout of the bar reception area between The Walkers Hall and The Keith Weller Lounge. Thankfully the keith Weller riff raff have been kicked out of here now so we could make use of the lovely booths they have installed near the windows. Had a lovely complimentary pint of Chang & Pork roll.

Always liked Ayew and never understood the bandwagon esque dislike / mocking of him. People who expected anything different from him probably just need to reevaluate their football knowledge. This is Ayew's style of play. He's always been a hold up, draw the foul type player hence why he shouldnt be played up top on his own. If we could get a good striker in, sit Ayew just behind, we'd destroy teams.

Not a big fan of him, but completely out of order him being boo'd. Wouldnt mind seing him & Nelson pairing although its quite evident the defence is built around Vestergaard.

Spoilt with the likes of Monga & Fatawu...even Mavididi, albeit less so... Really makes you notice how league 2 the likes of McAteer are. Just completely lost with the ball at his feet.

Likely in the minority here but im yet to see anything particularly impressive from Alves. Never really thought he stood out on loan at Cardiff either. Obviously limited game time and still young but probably benefit from another loan.
