  1. I disagree, I just think people would be more reluctant to openly post it due to getting shot down by the same fan boys. Even our wins, there's a big difference in being good, or just being less sh1t than your opposition. I'd say for most this season, we have just been less sh1t than our opposition. You look as far back as the Coventry game...if their strikers could kick a ball, we'd have come away with 0 points.
  2. Bang on. The hype is as if he's taken Rotherham to the top of the league. When you look at our squad, probably the best squad to ever grace the Championship, then anything short of sitting top would be poor. I am not fully sold and this isn't reactionary from the loss, I think we've looked pretty poor In most of our wins and I've said that all along. I'd be shocked if there's any fans forum from the teams we have played whereby the general consensus was "wow they looked good".
  3. On the flip side to that... Firstly, I'm pretty certain we'll have just about enough to get promoted from this cess pit. But mostly, it's not really the players that worry me, more the style of football. I don't think, as a newly promoted team, there's a single player that would come to us who would have the quality needed to play this style of football in a top league like the Premier League. Playing champagne football with a lemonade squad.
  4. I mean I'm really thinking ahead here...but... We are integrating a style of play that only Manchester City could pull off in the Premier League. Bar getting Manchester Cities squad, next season is going to be a blood bath.
  5. I'm really not meaning to start an argument with you, as actually I agree with the majority of your posts on here... But..I do think we looked poor. Defensively we didn't look too bad, but I thought in midfield & attack we looked complete and utterly clueless for the whole 90 minutes. Like I say, not an argument, just different opinions.
  6. Yeah, agree with that mate.
  7. Sorry Pep, last I heard goals mean more than domination. Il double check my notes from all my Uefa coaching badges just to sure.
  8. I think it was two equally sh1t teams separated only by individual brilliance.
  9. Sorry, but I don't get how whenever anyone dares to say anything remotely critical they are shot down by the same people every time. Okay, there are maybe some posts that you think, okay, chill, but some critism is more than appropriate. Another 90 minutes where we have looked absolutely clueless. You can see the gap closing and looking at us of late, Its only going to continue to close. That was absolute dross .
  10. I'd say every team we have played, including those we have beat, will be shocked that we are top.
  11. Going to get shot down here, but I think I can probably name about 2 games we have actually played well.. The fact we sit at the top of the league really shows how sh1t the league is.
  12. Sometimes you've just got to laugh haven't you.
  13. This is absolute dross. Nacho & Mavididi off please.
  14. Yup, just got a feeling, although the more I look at Middlesborough, there hasn't been any real 'amazing' results in their run of good form. Beat an 'at the time' very poor Birmingham and a Norwich side who are shipping goals for fun. They can clearly score goals though and I think they'll come at us. As always, depends what Leicester team turns up I guess.
  15. Think we'll get our first draw today.
  16. Actually enjoy watching Spurs this season. Really slick. How's there's still 22 players on the pitch is beyond me, although I do like the referee letting a lot go to ensure a nice physical Derby.
  17. Making the most of this season as playing like this next season in the Premier League will be...er..interesting..
  18. Not a big fan of the YouTube scouting where you watch 3 minutes of Ronaldinho-esque football from someone's 12 year career. What can we genuinely expect from this lad and what's he likely to improve? Where do his strengths lie?
  19. Genuinely thought the ref was alright Based on the standard to expect now days. The linesman, first half, however....couldn't keep up with their attackers so just kept his flag down despite Summerville being offside by a country mile on numerous occasions.
  20. I've deleted it because i don't want to get in to an argument online with someone who supports the same team and wants the same results - and yes, things can get misquoted. No hard feelings - As i said, we're all on the same side here and we all know defeats will happen - My original comment was just around the fact that it's the first team with real quality that we have faced. I expect a very similar opposition in Middlesborough next week but hopefully we can learn some things from tonight defeat. I don't think we were awful tonight, we were just beaten by the better team on the night.
  21. We have quality, yes, but i don't think we have seen anything close to what this group is capable of. And yes, we basically have. The finishing in this league so far by the opposition has been comical. I don't think we have played anywhere near as well as the league table would suggest and i am pretty sure almost all of the teams and fans we have come up against thus far have come away - even in defeat - thinking that we were not as good as they were expecting.
  22. Actually don't think we were much worse than any other game this season. Just so happens its the first team with any quality we have faced.
  23. I still don't think that we have played anywhere as well as what the league table would suggest. If anything, i think it's a reflection of how poor the quality of this league is given the fact that we have, for the most part, played in second / third gear and have still left the majority of the league behind. Every team we have played has had chances, it's their lack of ability in taking them that has allowed us to take advantage and go on to ultimately take three points so often. I think Leeds will be different - There is no doubt that they will also get chances, the difference being that i think they will have the quality to finish them more than some of the other teams that we have faced. I believe we are man for man better, and if we play to our best, we'll have no problem beating these. Play as we have been doing, despite us getting wins, then i think we'll lose tonight.
  24. I'm sure it's easier to get them upon leaving but obviously not ideal after an evening game.
