  1. Jess Ennis still looking gorgeous on the BBC's Olympic coverage.
  2. And Paul has to play Alcaraz in the singles before the doubles match so hopefully he's completely knackered by then.
  3. Unfortunately it's the USA's Fritz & Paul in the QF for Murray & Evans. That's going to be a really tough ask.
  4. Being a bit part player doesn't seem to have bothered him too much so far.
  5. He's not really played as an out-and-out striker at club level for several years. He sometimes still plays as a striker for Ghana, and in fact got a hat-trick for them against CAR in a 4-3 WCQ win back in June (Fatawu got their other goal).
  6. Best we could hope for here would be a loan with The Arse subsidising a big chunk of his wages. Even then they'll probably insist on an obligation-to-buy clause which I think we'd have a hard time agreeing to.
  7. Well he's still got 3 years left on an (alleged) £100k p/w contract. So yes, I'd think any club wanting to sign him would have to match that.
  8. I know he's a bit of a Jack of all trades and master of none, but I'd have Schlupp back here no problem (for the right price) as he can cover several positions up the left hand side. He's shown at Palace that he can do a job at LB, LWB and LM.
  9. Is Dom Smith of the Evening Standard just lazily regurgitating Nixon's 'info' or is this gaining traction? Btw I'd probably have Schlupperman back here over Ayew. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/crystal-palace-jordan-ayew-leicester-transfer-news-b1173965.html?utm_source=Flashscore.co.uk&utm_medium=newsfeed The newly-promoted Foxes have made a formal approach for the 32-year-old, who joined Palace from Swansea in 2019. Standard Sport understands Palace are open to letting Ayew leave if an attractive enough offer is made, and the same is understood to be the case for squad player Jeffrey Schlupp. Both players are currently in the United States on Palace’s pre-season tour.
  10. These trap shooters are pretty good but I doubt they'd be a match for me with the light-gun on Safari Hunt for the Sega Master System.
  11. Thinking back to my own school days - demoralised teachers struggling to cope with kids that have zero attention span existed long before smartphones came along. Although they have probably exacerbated the problem.
  12. True. We can sign players. But if a player has a choice between us or another club (as most of the good players will), then at the moment they are more than likely going to plump for the other club unless we throw ridiculous money at them. Everyone is aware of our predicament.
  13. Bet it's wall-to-wall Simone Biles and LeBron James and very little else.
  14. We were in for him but he didn't want to come. Not a lot you can do if they don't fancy it. "What I wanted more than anything was to stay in Italy and come to Roma.” https://www.caughtoffside.com/2024/07/31/matias-soule-roma-transfer-rejected-west-ham-leicester/
  15. Tried his best given the circumstances...
  16. Balls of steel from Murray and Evans again. Murray don't want to retire yet.
  17. Only if you believed that plum Matt Baker, who made it seem as if they were a shoo-in with one routine remaining. Ended up 4th.
  18. A lot of people on here are mistakenly thinking he's a striker. He isn't. He's a wide attacker. And his stats are very reasonable for someone playing that position. Personally, I wouldn't sign him because I think we are collecting too many 30+ players now and we already signed BDCR. And I think an true out-and-out striker should be our priority right now because I'm not sure where the goals are going to come from. But he's really not a bad player, and the hysterical overreaction to this link is incredible even by FoxesTalk standards.
  19. Only one year left on his contract and not a big earner at Palace. He'll be cheap by PL standards.
  20. Maybe Cooper's plan is to turn us into a MON-style team that scores a sh*t-tonne of goals from set-pieces. Because Ayew seems elite at winning free-kicks.
  21. How's that going btw? 🤔
  22. Sainz to Williams for 2025 https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/13186156/carlos-sainz-williams-sign-outgoing-ferrari-driver-for-2025-formula-1-season-to-be-alex-albons-team-mate
