It used to be tradition in our household to have commentator Harry Gration remind us every 4 years the difference between Waza-ari and Ippon in Judo.

Switching over to Emmerdale. -
You talking about Souttar or Okoli?

I see Apple TV have made a TV series adaptation of Terry Gilliam's classic film Time Bandits. Bet it's nowhere near as good.

Considering both he and Nelson would likely be competing for the same spot in the team he's probably trying to put him off coming.

I'll be honest and admit I've not seen much of him (but then who has?). But I'd always be wary of players like this. Good attacking stats on the face of it yet nobody has thought enough of him to put him in their starting lineup on a consistent basis, even the clubs he was loaned out to (Hoffenheim 5 starts in 23 appearances, Feyenoord 10 starts in 21 appearances). Something doesn't seem right there. Is he a bit lazy defensively or summat? Can he not press?

The guy is nearly 25 and has started only 58 games in his career in all competitions - yet has somehow managed to bag a £100k per week contract. Kudos to his agent.

Makes it look like they've been paintballing.

He may have amassed over 100 goals but he was never a prolific goalscorer though. These were Emile's PL goal returns by season; 10, 10, 6, 10, 14, 9, 6, 7, 10, 4, 8, 4, 3, 2, 3, 3, 1 Similarly Weghorst has well over 100 career goals without being prolific. I think it's a valid comparison.

Another possibility is that Sporting are being difficult. We know from previous experience that they can be.

Newcastle scored 85 goals last season. Only Man City (96), Arsenal (91) and Liverpool (86) scored more. -

Mourinho would be despised by the players much the same way Capello was. Southgate has got one thing going for him, in that he panders to the modern footballer's fragile ego, and in return the players actually seem to like him and want to play for him. Mourinho can't/won't do that, which is why he has become less and less successful over time. -
As Klopp is both a German and an honourary Scouser, I'd say there is practically no hope of him wanting the England gig.

If Southgate does go I'd rather the FA go all out for Howe rather than give it to Potter. Potter is dull, dull, dull. Howe, for all his flaws, at least sends his teams out with some intent.
