This will be the 6th time we've played Ipswich on Boxing Day (5 of them coming in the last 22 years). He signed a short term contract extension to help us complete the Covid-delayed 19/20 season. There was then a really short turnaround between the end of the 19/20 season and the start of the 20/21 season. That and Covid made it difficult to bring in new players so a new contract would have made sense for both him and us.
