  1. I've never known a season as inconsistent as this one. There's always at least one unbeaten team and one winless team at this stage of a season. This season, there are neither. The NFL is set up to promote parity (through the salary cap and draft system) and I think that is what we are seeing in effect.
  2. Make no mistake, if we go up it's going to be an absolute slog next season. Our relegation has put us pretty much back to square one as a PL club. You only have to look at the League Cup game against Liverpool for clues. 29 shots for them to our 4. Yes, we rested a few key players but so did they. We've also got another 7-8 players out of contract at the end of this season so it's going to be another busy summer for the recruitment team - one that they have to get right for us to stand any chance.
  3. 'Boys are firing on all cylinders so far today
  4. It's a clear penalty imo. But you know deep down that Luton (for example) are never getting that decision at Old Trafford.
  5. Might have just saved his job for today at least. Cagliari were 0-3 down at home to Frosinone after 70 mins. Came back incredibly for a much needed win, 4-3.
  6. Spurs have got some brass neck complaining about VAR decisions.
  7. Agree. It is exciting but reading this thread I sense there is far too much expectation being heaped on them. ACL injuries are as serious as it gets for any athlete. It's a nice little morale booster for them to be training with the senior squad but it would be unfair and unrealistic to expect them to contribute much this season.
  8. It all started when they got rid of the plastic pitch. Never recovered from that imo.
  9. I'll admit he's looked clumsy and underwhelming. But still, his output of goals + assists per 90 last season was almost double that of Vardy's. Personally, I think there is a decent PL level striker in there with Daka. I just don't think we've had a manager that has fully played to his strengths. Maybe Enzo could be that manager given time.
  10. We English have always been a predominantly reserved bunch. We've never been as passionate, noisy or raucous as football fans on the continent, and I doubt we ever will. That's not to say that the atmosphere at the KP couldn't be better. Of course it could. But I don't think the general "I'm a better fan than you" vibe in this thread is helping improve things.
  11. Spartak away he was generally considered to have had a good game. Thought he was good against Wolves at home last season. Also had a very good second half against Bournemouth after being absolutely awful in the first half. So yeah, he's had about 2 and a half good games in a Leicester shirt. Not a lot to go on really.
  12. True. But there's no guarantee Vardy and/or Iheanacho will be here next season. What if we can't agree a new deal with either of them? What if they both get a better offer from elsewhere? Then we're heading into the next summer's window with Cannon, who has almost no PL experience, as our only striker. Sure, we could bring other strikers in, but it's a rather uncertain and vulnerable position to leave yourself in imo. I say loan out Daka, let him try to get some game time and some form, and then see want we we want to do with him next summer.
  13. Heskey's debut wasn't it?
  14. It's an unusual situation though. He's 3rd choice to 2 players who have scored over 230 goals combined for the club. He just needs some game time, either here or somewhere else.
  15. Fair play to those college golfers playing at St Andrews at the arse end of October.
  16. On loan I'd be ok with this, but I think selling him would be a strange decision given the current contract situation of our strikers.
  17. Wouldn't mind him going out on loan for the rest of the season to get some game time and form. But with him and Cannon being the only strikers contracted beyond the end of the season selling would mean we will probably need to bring in another 2 (maybe 3) strikers for next season.
  18. Leeds are currently a tiny speck in our rear view mirror.
  19. They probably didn't have the time needed to do the job today.
  20. Soyuncu on the bench for Atletico against Celtic. Just a small walk away from nutting Brendan. Must be tempting for him.
  21. Going straight back up has to be the target. Doesn't really matter how we do it. However, it would be preferable to do it by winning a record 8th English second tier title.
  22. Hard to contribute when you're left to rot on the bench. Iheanacho led the team in goals + assists per 90 last season. We also don't win the FA Cup for the first time in our history without Iheanacho's goals, whereas Maddison only started 1 game in our cup run and played less total minutes than 15 other players. I'll be remembering Nacho (and Tielemans for that matter) fondly, long after I've forgotten about Maddison.
  23. Will never top this
  24. They made it safely to New York without any issues and Kate Winslet ran off with Leonardo DiCaprio. Pretty boring really.
  25. Poor acoustics innit.
