  1. Any clip where he's asked why people should vote, it feels like he's answering an interview question with that one answer he'd pre-prepared
  2. Nelson is one we should be starting to build our future sides with; not selling at the first chance
  3. By blind luck, or skill, the last few permanent appointments have all gone fairly well. We seem to do some decently at appointing the correct head coach/manager.
  4. This is a tangent here, McKenna is hailed as this loyal servant to Ipswich, yet any job going he's being interviewed for it. Also you're right, it sounds like we've done the same again of gotten to 3 names and interviewing all 3 for the role and will decide from
  5. Reads like that doesn't it? As if he's agreed and if we decide he's the one, he's here.
  6. This reads as if we're deciding if we want Potter and he'd accept
  7. Stones missing training through illness. We seem to have taken so many half fit players
  8. Why is everything now a subscription service, or trying to push one onto you? Everything seems to be on the gym bandwagon of getting people to sign up for a small amount a month and then hope they forget about it
  9. These threads always just highlight how little effort it would take the club to make a section of the fan base feel appreciated. For families it's tiny little efforts to make their kids first game, or any game feel special. It's not difficult to make a supporter base feel welcomed, yet the club manage to make more and more feel less welcome
  10. Glad it's not just me. Was there the other week, not particularly busy, but the way the seating is set out getting a few chairs together was weirdly tough.
  11. I know the world changes and develops over time, but the huge contrast from the experience you'd get as a new fan 15/20 years ago to now is staggering. As a kid I'd be able to watch the reserves for a couple of quid, birthday on the big screen for next to nothing, and the club would send little things like the team picture with the signatures on the back etc Now everything is monetised within an inch of it's life
  12. Can't really disagree with what's said there, he's been off it for years now and gets his drive due to his image
  13. Genuinely baffled
  14. "Brendan's number 1 fan"
  15. Gav is back
  16. People congratulating Maddison for his statement is ****ing hilarious. Man's left camp early, had a strop and has now posted a PR statement
  17. You'd assume the 4th is James Trafford as well
  18. Wonder if he was told he wouldn't be in the side and asked to go home. Shame for him, he was in exceptional form during the world cup and couldn't get a sniff. Now he's picked in a squad when off form and is rightly dropped. Wouldn't shock me if he was injured
  19. "However, the case will not be fast tracked, with the independent commission yet to set a date for a hearing. The delay is said to be Leicester's fault due to the 'aggressive' approach they have taken to fight the charges. The club announced they had launched 'urgent legal proceedings' against the Premier League and EFL after being charged with breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules. Sources with knowledge of the case have told Mail Sport that Leicester's breach is 'significant,' which based on previous PSR hearings would trigger a six-point sanction, while the club's combative approach means it would not be reduced on the basis of their co-operation." Once again I don't see why we've been deemed to be aggressive, when on both occasions the EFL were acting outside of their own rules and boundaries
  20. Absolutely. It should be so much more about what it actually means, what each party/policy means for the normal. But politics isn't on the curriculum, and schools need to hit grades to get funding, so it's axed. Realise I've quoted you a few times in a short space here!
  21. They are accessible to some, but not to as many as it should be. My main point is people aren't able to understand what it means for them or their loved ones. I guess accessible can be interpreted as different things, yes they're available to be read by most, but the % to actually understand what it means is much fewer. But I do agree, what I've taken from the bickering is that we aren't in for a good ride whoever is voted in
  22. Harsh take in all honesty. Politics and political insight isn't taught regularly and is difficult to understand at best of time. Very few political writers or manifestos are written in a way for many to understand or comprehend. These debates are meant to make it more accessible, so of course people are going to be influenced
  23. Pretty much, there's numerous solutions, but none which will be accepted or liked by the masses. It's the big political football they're just kicking around
  24. Just the definition of a successful opposition? Simply let the gov make a tit of themselves, disagree with legislation that the public dislike and don't be daft
