  1. Difference being the transfer clicks don't cause the club any negative media speculation. Wouldn't shock me if they'd been told not to or been threatened with reduced access
  2. The fan base is large enough that it's always going to be difficult to fully identify what "true fans" opinion is. Also important to note FT is an echo chamber for opinions, we're generally pretty one side or the other, and many other fans probably differ in opinions. But I do agree they aren't doing the role as well as they could currently
  3. He really hasn't kicked on as we all thought.
  4. Would've been wiser to have not brought Skipp and used the cash to buy this lad
  5. Some great deals being done by clubs not too far above us. Yet we're here doing nothing
  6. Think this just about sums up the Prem and English football
  7. Honestly there's even this level of stupidity at that level. Can't be promoted due to facilities, can't upgrade them due to the council etc
  8. The only 'excitement' and drama comes from off field issues. Still will never forget Jim White stood in front of a timer for Bolton and Bury existing.
  9. I wonder on the back of this if we start to see an increase in pragmatic, going back to basics displays. Solid defence, with quick clinical attacks rather than the current preference.
  10. The rules are grey at best, look at our situation last time, look at Chelsea selling assets to themselves etc. it all depends how the rules are interpreted, and then you have the appeals board coin toss.
  11. Laughable situation
  12. Once again Borson and Maguire throwing conjecture and clickbait out there, as no one has any idea what is actually happening
  13. We should start adding buy back clauses into contracts. Sell the player for whatever, if for any reason they start to kick back on and make great progress, we activate our buy back clause
  14. Their issue is going to be what Trent, Salah and Van Dijk do. I can see Trent and Salah leaving
  15. They've basically gone back to basics. Incredible defence and attack with pace
  16. This can't be highlighted enough. Football journalism is 90% soundbites and very few amounts of actual solid journalism. Given the leagues seem to struggle to understand their rules, I'm doubting how much these pair will know.
  17. Apparently handed in a transfer request
  18. It's incredible how unprepared as a nation we are. On one hand you have the gov promising new houses left, right and centre. Yet we're constantly building on flood planes or easily flooding areas without providing the necessary infrastructure. The infrastructure we have then doesn't match up to the demand and takes time to improve. Then our emergency services are stretched as it is, then required to help out even more between emergency's and people being idiots.
  19. Has he had any repercussions minus the yellow? He's clearly looked at De Ligt and then shoulder charged into his face, I know we moan that the physicality has gone from the game, but that was just stupid
  20. Some incredibly soft penalties being given out recently
  21. I saw a thread on Reddit about the basketball shots, that the game had basically just become a 3 point shooting competition. Football is risking becoming the same. We've had ultra possession, pressing, now a weird combination. The game itself is becoming very sterile, we have less technical brilliance and more just pure athletes. VAR is also really not helping. We then have the backdrop of the game becoming a spreadsheet simulator and clubs using fans more than ever before. There's definitely a breaking point on the horizon
  22. Treason is a pretty good watch, decent short series
  23. Can't be seen to do anything to jeopardize the player picture opportunities they get
  24. Misread Google, he still has 2 years left, so this year he's likely to go
