It's defo not more blatant now. In the Blatter days there was an actual brown paper bag stuffed full of cash given to Jack Warner. Now you have sponsorship deals, commercial rights, media contracts all signed off by Western solicitors and in the Western banking system as clean and approved cash. Look at Chelsea for example, that is one big money laundering ring, but it's legal...for now anyway If Aus went down that route they would be a load of money down for no reason.

https://www.ft.com/content/7f86882f-6cc6-4259-9520-6fa07e9669be Interesting article. So they gave South America 3 games in the 2030 world cup to exclude them from bidding for the 2034 World Cup. This meant Europe, Africa and SA could not bid on the 2034 tournament, leaving just Asia and Oceania as the only potential hosts, with 3 weeks notice given to bid for the tournament. Must say, corruption generally has got so much smarter post-covid, instead of actually paying someone off, just change the rules for them and make them sponsor something you do to collect the payoff.

Put them on your email address then. This was is much better, gives the guest you are buying for a booking history, so they can buy on their own when matches go on sale to fans with booking history.

They’re not just gonna automatically extend it imo. Need to prove beyond reasonable doubt it’s a success and lobby then relentlessly before that happens. The whole ground sells out, why would they care if one block sells quickly.

There’s another sprint this weekend?! That’s 3 of the last 4 races, why?

Even we don’t win 8-0 pls don’t Bob yourselves.

Woke up quite a while ago but yeh we’re still winning this league at a canter

Computer says no already happens. But with humans in charge!! The public sector, been in the job for 20 years, middle aged types who cannot see past their tick boxes and charge sheets, hate their jobs and just want to go home. Hopefully AI systems will be able to apply some logic, uniqueness and escape all the driving negativity that affects so many people and their decision-making.

You've picked the most 'it's Friday afternoon and I want to drink all afternoon with my mates but charge it to my company' friendly pint. In Central London. It serves you right. Nobody normal likes Peroni, but alongside Madri, it's the type of pint the admin team at work will believe you are drinking with a boring client when you charge 9 of them back.

Christ, that is some anger. Pretty girls will talk to you as well if you try

Humans do a lot of pointless jobs. Theory is that we shouldn't be doing jobs that tech can easily do, instead we should on the same money and be at leisure. Few decades ago people were washing clothes by hand, adding up numbers on calculators, typewriting, working on switchboards etc etc. These days middle man jobs such as, brokers, dealers, agents are totally useless, just paying people commission for no reason. Of course in reality the level and intellect of the average job will not go up, it will just be lost and the incremental saving will go to the top, not the people

There's simple good and bad but then there's scales of good and bad. Which AI threatens in a 'hold my beer' internet nerd meme way

I agree with your opinion, but it's our opinion. The number one threat facing our world as told to us by global policymakers (Davos, WEF, various think tanks) is inequality. It is threatening in itself because right now we have a ruling class of 1-2%, administrative class of 7-8% and then everyone else with £50 left at the end of the month, if they're lucky, which in theory is a miserable existence. That has nothing to do with climate. As the saying goes: no point saving the world if the world is a miserable place to live in for 90% of us. I think AI exacerbates those class percentages.
-
Good in theory. The amount of time you still have to spend on pointless crap such as insurance claims, tax returns, refunds, form filling, check boxing, press * for more options etc etc is astounding. Clearly bad in reality. Will exacerbate inequality (the proven number 1 threat facing the world whatever XR, JSO or whichever Instagram group is now in fashion want to tell you) and create USA like human desert zones around the world. And we, the 99%, won't do anything to stop it

I hope we do, but I doubt it based on precedent. Other than 'clubs a shambles mate so thick ticket office well thick shambles mate clubs gone mate' does anyone know an actual reason why we don't reciprocate? In the European games, we did give a reduced allocation as standard. I am sure we can fit a 2k allocation and still be adequately segregated?

Depends what you like I guess. Always really enjoy a full English at the time then feel horrible afterwards. Find breakfast fayre in flavorsome countries much more to my liking. Yes, food in Europe is terrible, but that's no surprise given the harsh/cold climate, nothing useful can grow here. Although, I much prefer British food to French, how they've marketed their cuisine as world class is beyond me. Tasteless, bland tripe.

Wow, crazy night! A tornado hit, debris everywhere. It is always windy here so when the weirdo locals who usually wear shorts started actually panicking about this storm, I did think this must be serious. Standing on the balcony watching the full force of nature smashing up everything overnight was frightening/awe-inspiring. Top speed of 102mph!

Full lockdown in the Channel Islands tomorrow, storm ciaran expected to bring 95mph winds. Forgot how annoying lockdown is. This is a proper one so you can’t even nip to the co op for a chocolate bar, as everything is expected to be closed all day.

Having the first 3 games in South America in 2030 was justified by it being the 100 year anniversary of the first world cup in 1930. In which case why not have the whole thing in Uruguay/Argentina. Presumably because it's too much money to put up for a South American host. 2026 will be a mega rip-off, everything is in the USA. You won't get single country hosts for a 48 team tournament I'd imagine, unless you can throw a bunch of cash at it, like Saudi.

How many losses this season and against who?
grobyfox1990 replied to mozartfox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Results wise rich vein of form yes but there’s plenty more to come from this team. We aren’t really playing THAT well objectively, the opposition are terrible. The opposition will remain terrible until May. We miss bucket loads of chances. We will have a period this season where we win 3/4 games out of 7 by 5/6-0. As you said this is the championship, the standard is embarrassing -
I don’t think the two go together. Zurich is just for business. Think Canary Wharf on a Tuesday night in February. Peroni served by a bloke in a tux, €3.79 service charge etc etc
-
2034!!! Football as we know it won’t be going at that point, and/or Saudi will be just another western approved country. 11 years is a hell of a lot of propaganda time, which we’ll all buy, rendering all these human rights bellowing more redundant than it is now. Either that or everyone here will watch it anyway
-
More so, you don't want them to change their mind. People start believing some dude on an online football forum talking about social inequality or the rights and wrongs of Brexit...next step they're believing vaccines aren't real on an online Taylor Swift forum. Don't believe anything you read on social media. Otherwise, this thread has been an entertaining read!!

I find friends very funny, then and now I’m really hoping they ban single use vapes in the uk soon so I can ship a boat load back everytime I come back to the uk and make some easy money

Wow, can you imagine the stench of digestives, lukewarm pg tips and rice pudding I jest. Cruises sound interesting and it would be a good experience to do one
