LA and Houston are miles apart in everything. Insanely different. V true but the average Brit goes to some generic nondescript all inclusive resort hellhole in Italy, Spain, turkey or France to speak English and read a book. They’ll have no idea what country they’re in, the brand of beer is the only distinction.
-
Tbf to them the 'country' is massive and hugely varied. You'll have plenty of 58 yr olds in the UK who have never been anywhere but safe and nice English friendly towns in UK, Spain, France, Italy.

Don't even think it's that, for someone with European culture/values it's pretty much all bad IMO. The agreed trade is: work like a dog and give up everything and you may become rich. Or work like a normal person and henceforth live a miserable pay cheque to pay cheque lifestyle. They all want to get rich and buy shiny things so wilfully sign up to this trade. I have no interest in doing dumb things like driving a car paid for on finance or having a 80 inch TV, I just wanna go to football matches, drink in nice pubs and go on holiday. So not for me, but it was loads of fun for a short period. If you have any persuasion for getting rich, it's absolutely right. the rewards are immeasurably higher than in the UK.

Worked there for 1.5 years, loved it, great experience

Too many dirty scrotes touching the bottles tho. Sachets or personal portions defo

Fair enough, the game is about opinions after all. And in mine that is never a pen. It's a normal coming together on a football pitch. If that happened against England/Leicester, the ticket office shambles crowd would be out in their hordes. With long rambling posts about how the game is gone and they don't watch as much football as they used to when they were 6 years old because of VAR decisions like this and tippy tappy possession s***e
-
Interesting to see this forum and social media at large isn't awash with... 'VAR is the worst thing to happen to football mate' 'The game's gone' 'VAR just bin it' 'They have taken our game away from us mate' 'When did we lose football' 'It's not football anymore mate VAR shambles ticket office disgrace' 'The game's gone mate' 'Ticket office are a shambles mate' 'VAR is an absolute shambles mate games gone games gone footballs dead mate'

Good shout but surely he's got most of what he owns parked offshore under a nominee director/ownership structure. Pretty inefficient to own anything in your own name these days, never mind when you have to declare it all publicly

Foxes Trust Update – Shirt Sponsorship

And the vast vast majority of people gamble or 'invest' in crypto within their set guidelines as a bit of fun, not because they're accomplices to crime or immoral money launderers. Fact is that illegal streams and dodgy gambling sites are harbingers of money laundering and criminal activity, however you want to justify it. -

The trust cannot make your first point, that's unproven, although most likely true. Would imagine they get the book thrown at them if they start making unsubstantiated claims like that. -
Concerns about the direction of the club

You don't come back season after season!?!? Yet you were the first one throwing around celebratory threads on here after promotion, like a true KPFC fan, undoubtedly garnering media and commercial revenue at the same time. I am sure you are either Donald Trump or a phantom Reform candidate. -
It’s alright for you too. British passports and citizenship give us the right to live in a lot of places should we choose too. Don’t hate the player, hate the game re the lords.
-
Of course they are going to be taxed further, that’s fairly obvious under any ruling party. Hence I initially said the country is bankrupt and I will not be in for a rude awakening, mainly because Im not tax resident in the uk. But setting about the many loopholes is a great first start. Having Margaret hodge in the lords is another good sign
-
Mate the average uk citizen is already taxed to high heaven, and the country is still bankrupt. What are you afraid of in tightening non-Dom rules and taxing carried interest????
-
Decent pint in Queens road tap pre Kasabian. Horrible IPA in sixes cricket, £6.25 and really slow service
-
As in can't someone in the UK call the club on your behalf with all your details, a switch of tickets does not require a lot of personal info. Then you call that individual on WhatsApp/Teams separately and on mute, and jump in if they get stuck or need anything further.

Foxes Trust Update – Shirt Sponsorship

Some reality at last -
That sounds like a lot of effort, can't you ask someone to make the call for you. Be on a WhatsApp call with them at the same time to respond to any details they may need from you live

Foxes Trust Update – Shirt Sponsorship

Yep and smoking in the stands at half time. Games gone mate honestly. This tippy tappy s***e. Ticket office disgrace. Possession football terrible -
That was a lot of fun. Nice to see town heaving

A sound appointment. A lot of employees in their shops have criminal records. Their charitable funds go to homeless and ex Cons. They offer free suit dry cleaning to homeless people going to job interviews. I think he was previously homeless. There are many other anecdotes like this I believe. I go there to get my watch time changed when the clocks move forward as I’m too dumb to work it out myself, and they ask me to donate to their charity. Anyway, a prudent appointment, someone who understands the system and will have ideas and energy for change
-
Exactly, so the team that have won a landslide have acknowledged, understood and decisively won the system that we’re playing under. That doesn’t render their victory moot. John Curtice is amazing btw

Good post. We all know the country’s bankrupt and services are decimated. You’d hope people would be smart enough to realise it’s not gonna be turned around tomorrow. And this whole narrative that ‘labour didn’t win the election, the tories lost it’ is so cringey and spurs-esque. People really have no shame.

F**k that I want Bratislava away

Whatever the ifs and buts of it, starmer has taken the Labour Party from near irrelevance in 2019 under corbyn, to a historic majority in 2024. Opinion is one thing but that is a fact. Similar to djimi traore winning a champions league. You can argue all you want about how and why. But he won a champions league
