  1. That sounds like a lot of effort, can't you ask someone to make the call for you. Be on a WhatsApp call with them at the same time to respond to any details they may need from you live
  2. Yep and smoking in the stands at half time. Games gone mate honestly. This tippy tappy s***e. Ticket office disgrace. Possession football terrible
  3. That was a lot of fun. Nice to see town heaving
  4. A sound appointment. A lot of employees in their shops have criminal records. Their charitable funds go to homeless and ex Cons. They offer free suit dry cleaning to homeless people going to job interviews. I think he was previously homeless. There are many other anecdotes like this I believe. I go there to get my watch time changed when the clocks move forward as I’m too dumb to work it out myself, and they ask me to donate to their charity. Anyway, a prudent appointment, someone who understands the system and will have ideas and energy for change
  5. Exactly, so the team that have won a landslide have acknowledged, understood and decisively won the system that we’re playing under. That doesn’t render their victory moot. John Curtice is amazing btw
  6. Good post. We all know the country’s bankrupt and services are decimated. You’d hope people would be smart enough to realise it’s not gonna be turned around tomorrow. And this whole narrative that ‘labour didn’t win the election, the tories lost it’ is so cringey and spurs-esque. People really have no shame.
  7. F**k that I want Bratislava away
  8. Whatever the ifs and buts of it, starmer has taken the Labour Party from near irrelevance in 2019 under corbyn, to a historic majority in 2024. Opinion is one thing but that is a fact. Similar to djimi traore winning a champions league. You can argue all you want about how and why. But he won a champions league
  9. Fair enough, compare that speech to boris and truss. At least the bloke has some respect. Goodbye to a bad dream, will let you know when I’m next in cali-for-ni-a
  10. Great trio of lads
  11. Ofc that is true, but we’re in a record breaking spell of decline. We’ve watched a once great nation slip into irrelevance. Something has and will be done about that today. They might be super cool nice guys, which is nice, but they have proven they are unfit to govern
  12. Will it happen? Yes for sure. If it doesn’t I will drink a disgusting millers or coors light!
  13. ‘Ass kicking’ and ‘geezer’ in the same sentence. The special relationship between the USA and UK we hear so much about summed up right there
  14. This is a good video on it imo. Sadly/embarrassingly this election seems to have turned into an ‘in better than you because I’m voting this way’ contest, which seems to be the way since 2016. When in reality the 99% of us working slaves dependant on a monthly pay cheque need to stick together
  15. It was 9.50 euros (including cup deposit) for a beer in Dortmund and Munich for the euro games I went to. It was £7.50 for a can of warm Heineken at Wembley in 2021. I don't think price is putting anyone off from throwing a beer around because that would be the case now. People will always be too stupid to consider boycotting overpriced and terrible quality beer, and then get psyched when others are throwing the beer around, and follow. The tailgate culture you talk about is similar to what we do here. It is common to meet hours before kick off to drink. It still does not stop people buying overpriced food and drink at the venue, because again, too stupid. I watched the redskins often when I worked there, tail gating was ok but centred around family and food.
  16. The media are owned and controlled by those who want influence. I think 80% of all UK media is owned by three companies, all presumably domiciled in a layer of trusts and companies offshore. It's about influence not advertising revenue. Which is like obviously very easy to do given there was a screenshot of a Sun article from 2017 in this thread yesterday!
  17. Plenty of football is played like that, in this tournament alone!
  18. Another crazily entertaining match
  19. Christ, screenshotting articles from the Sun published in 2017. We really are no better than Americans
  20. More interested in where the story has come from, very strange line to go down when you can attack Starmer on so much more. Especially on the day it's been announced he received £76k of freebies from donors
  21. Starmer?! Where did you hear that from? That is nonsense, he's known to have very good stamina and an huge work ethic, throughout his entire career
  22. Yes agree with this, some honest answers without the fear of internet nerds chasing you down is good reading
  23. Not much land left?!? Have you ever flown over the uk. Or driven on a motorway. There’s tonnes of land, we barely build! Loads of room for cities to expand, Leicester can easily be zone 6 of London
  24. Should hope so, given he gets paid $10m’s to win!! Bit OTT here, I really don’t like the weird little inbred, but he’s a winner in a highly competitive sport. Most of the time he wins
