  1. Yeh fair point, nothing like that. Just usual ranting and raving. And tbf post covid if a client even swears at you, you can claim anxiety and can force an apology and a few dollars out of them. Which footballers obvs can’t out of abusive fans.
  2. Kind of agree but kind of don't. Players are professionals and should act like it. I would love to give it to clients when I receive my daily dose of this or that before getting the job done. But I am a professional and they pay me. But then again, it's well funny when players and fans go at it.
  3. Yeh, Spurs have an Aussie manager. Wonder how the Germans or even God forbid the Yanks would have reacted if for many years a so-called 'age old tradition' of the game was at threat of going, which replays have been for years. Packed out stadiums, huge protests, untold carnage until they get their way or died trying. Whereas the English just let it meander by then come out with all this faux-outrage when the inevitable gets announced. No one is really outraged, no one will care by June, no one will boycott anything.
  4. I love it, always leave something in your cart, click off the site, wait for the email, ask for a 50% reduction on the item before you buy it, settle on about 10% off then buy. Free money if you were gonna buy the item anyway
  5. Good point, now you've said it, I can see it
  6. Hopefully. Be some good money to be made. And that is the British way
  7. Agreed, my extended family did the same after the great escape season. You just know when you give up the ST something extraordinary will happen. That’s lcfc
  8. That’s a large part to do with the pure incompetence of our own club though. There’s lots of drivel online about how the big guys cheat etc, this is real life, do what you can to win. The clowns in charge of lcfc are clear losers hence our relegation and all the charges. Anyway, that’s football. There’s ups, downs and everything in between. Personally that’s why I love it. You’re right to question a sky subscription, it’s an utterly scandalous waste of money. Iptv will cost you £50 a year for 9000 channels
  9. You can watch every football match around the world live now on iptv. People like me still buy season tickets because nothing compares to being there
  10. I love cricket but honesty and authenticity?!? The Indians and English rule the game like the big 6 do in football. Players play for multiple teams a year based on who pays the most. Players give up tests to play in franchise t20 leagues. Cricket is football on steroids
  11. The big clubs should simply give the lower league club money. Every year. Regardless of this competition fans and teams clearly don’t care about. Why are we relying on maybe a big team drawing a small team then maybe getting a draw then getting to play them again maybe. It’s ludicrous logic. There’s enough money in the game, spread it out. We can posture all we want about how much we care about the cup but we don’t. We were 4k off a full house for brum and that was with 5.5k away fans! And with general sale which apparently blocks untold hordes of city fans attending games
  12. Good. Attendances are low, tv ratings are crap, teams play weakened sides. Fans clearly could not give a toss about replays, they were seemingly only being played to get sponsors names on screen more often and satisfy tv contracts. Get rid.
  13. Exactly, we’re meant to be a liberal country with a conservative govt ffs. legalise everything and price it to infinity. If you are so stupid as to smoke Mary Jane for ‘medicinal purposes’ your money is better off in public hands your own
  14. These left wing loons will be gone at the next election and a proper centrist like starmer and labour will be in, so I don’t think that’ll happen
  15. Exactly, and an efficient pricing market should crop up for those of us born after 2009 to buy fags and charge a decent markup for those born after. That’s conservative
  16. Proper headline grabbing nonsense policy. Price smoking and vaping to oblivion and let the market do its trick - I thought this was a conservative Govt!! This lot are more left-wing than Corbyn
  17. Not the same job at all though is it. Each club is so different and has so many different challenges. Also you cannot compare it to a technical job like a doctor. 'Manager' in every industry are not and certainly should not be technically better than the people they manage, that sounds like a complete waste of time and money. The people I 'manage' can do the job better than me.
  18. Can you please get a poll started over whether people think it could go either way or not?
  19. No but would like too. Can you please report back on how you plan it and what deals you find. The China and Japan F1 races are back to back next year at cherry blossom time, would be interested in putting together a two-weeker across the two countries if costs and logistics allow.
  20. Brilliant, you will love it! You seem like a cool guy. Don't fall into the middle class European way of doing the garden route and eating at safe space Italian/French restaurants. There are loads of non-hijacking activities to see and do.
  21. Yeh probably true. Anyway, time to face that teacher for me…
  22. Would imagine a lot of our fans are a little tipsy after the working week and pretty upset at this unacceptable calamity, hence the justified hyperbole Or maybe that’s just me dreading seeing the Leeds fan Pilates class teacher tomorrow 9am!
  23. Exactly, we played his game and battered them that night. People desperate to prove how bad we are forget that
  24. Is this the royal we? We as in you and I? We as in all of us on this thread? This has confuddled me as much as the poster who quoted my post in the holiday thread and started talking about a cancelled trip to HK ‘we’ were taking. Good advice though
  25. I think we are saying the same thing? Burnley did walk the league last season, I think they were 20 odd points clear of 3rd place. I do not believe Burnley are a decent football team, I think they are useless but put the 'at best' disclaimer in my first comment to be political with those people who still think the champo is full of big strong teams and difficult away games at intimidating venues. Which makes my point that this is a terrible quality league even more pertinent if they got 100+ points in it last season. Leeds, Ipswich and Soton are half rate football teams and will/would get spanked about in the PL. I do not believe anyone is dragging us down to the physically weak and technically unable level of this division, we are doing that to ourselves, which is why I am annoyed. A lot of potentials in your scenario above. Also the final league table may look closer than it is because the dominant team is chilling at the end of the season, ref Norwich and Fulham in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
