FA Cup Fourth Round Draw (Monday 7:50pm)
grobyfox1990 replied to LCFCJoe96's topic in Leicester City Forum
That is a brilliant draw. Plus the other games mean a few big guns are gone -
That was nearly 7 years ago now. The wall are inbred scum but it does seem their misdemanours get highlighted more than others, I had no idea Sunderland fans made helicopter taunts to us, only found out as it was linked to the Millwall news story lol. We have more football-related arrests than them so that seems to show our club cannot control us lot more than they can control their fans? Not sure how else to judge the 'can't control its fans' metric other than by arrests

How many people have priority points
grobyfox1990 replied to Charlie35's topic in Ticket News and Travel
A member who clocks every away game that reaches their level should be further down the queue than a ST who has never done an away match? If you were in this boat, you'd be crying the river that you'd be floating on. Away tickets should be based on attendance at away matches, not sure why that's so hard to understand. -

Why should someone who has an ST who goes to every home match and villa away once every four years be given priority over a member who either cannot afford a commit to an STH because they work weekends, but puts in the miles for midweek aways or unfashionable games. They shouldn't. That is quite self-explanatory. You say loyalty should not be rewarded, much like gig tickets, but then say loyalty should be rewarded because you have an ST. All your proposals are schemes that will suit you and you alone. -

Why should STHs get tickets when members can’t? -

No. P1, P2, P3, all STH, general. As far as I remember it. We’ve always taken good numbers everywhere in my living memory (early 30s). League 1 season was insanely popular. -

Exactly, and that receives almost universal condemnation. -

So gatekeeping away games to those who can afford an extra 50 sheets a year on top of the already ludicrous cost of away matches -

First whining because it's a closed shop and no one new can get tickets. Then whining because new members can get tickets. -
The scale is quite obviously different. Serena Williams can confidently talk and live with men's tennis players, zara tindall with men's equestrian equivalents, figure skating has mixed events at major championships, surely it cannot be long before we see an F1 female driver. It's a disgrace that hasn't already happened with the trash on the grid in the past few years. Female WSL players are nowhere near PL players. Mens championship players are nowhere near PL players. Barton is an idiot that should get a good slap soon, but arguments like this are so ill-thought out and ripe for Jeremy Clarkson types to jump on. The argument should be kept to 'Barton is an idiot' and that's it.

I reckon if you ask most ‘wall’ fans they wouldn’t want to go up. You get some really cry me a river comments on here about ‘sanitised game’ ‘the games gone’ ‘clubs a shambles’ nonsense but they’re prob a minority and will always slavishly and subserviently renew their STs anyway. I reckon millwall fans would boycott after one year in the prem

No one is defending it by saying just ignore it, but the fact remains childish idiocy like this will stop if they don’t get a reaction, simple. Much like the cretins in our fan base with an IQ of 0.1 and a 23-year stint in the public sector singing feed the scousers, it’d prob stop if Everton/Liverpool stopped giving these children they attention they desperately crave and can’t get elsewhere. To compare this abuse to racism is farcical. Racism is ingrained behaviour which inhibits people from living in an orderly manner, with a whole host of other consequences. These idiots are finding a way to have a go at Leicester, next week it’ll be Norwich, then Blackburn…

Ban them, fine them, makes fools of them publicly but jail time is a bit much

We will have our kegs pulled down in far more ways than set pieces from August onward if the current pattern of play persists. We give up a decent number of chances from open play and are very casual at the back with the ball. It does not get highlighted because the standard in this league is shocking. We also create huge numbers of chances and do not score enough of them, again not highlighted because we win every week and it does not matter. I am not Pat Nevin so have not got an armoury of stats to back that up before anyone chimes in. Our xG might well be lower than our actual number of goals. If so, fair enough. You are concentrating on the issue most blatant on front of your eyes, when there appears to me to be far more pressing issues to resolve. -

I smoke cigarettes far more when at the pub with my friend who smokes, as a total percentage of cigarettes I smoke. Thus going to the pub with my friend who smokes is a problem? Of course it isn't, I see him once or twice a year and maybe have a few puffs. You're taking the highest % figure of a record low number. We have the lowest goals conceded in the league and Vesty is our first choice CB! Lies damned lies and statistics, what you're saying is clearly spin. -

Yeh fine, football is about scoring goals, and they did not enough score goals. I don't think they were 'horrible' defensively at all, that is a really biased comment. Their keeper was but Flemming looked decent. Comfortably better than us, until they reached the box. -

They were comfortably better than us and created loads of good chances, do they not know how to square the ball in the box? Would have had a number of tap ins if so. Decent finishing and also got their keeper, shark itch, to thank. But a second string team who barely seemed bothered into the next round, cannot ask for much more. -
Have you bothered to watch any of this season. Forest in the cup was nearly two years ago and a completely different city team/attitude.
-
Half an eye on Sunderland v Newcastle alongside the city match. The teams come out and the camera pans across the Newcastle end, not one phone out. If that was us our end it would be rammed full of drippy teenagers filming the scenes and p1ssing themselves. Is it our support in particular that attracts kids with loads of allergies or an all football thing
-
Again wouldn’t think too much about it. Once Barton comes out with his coke-ridden madness you’ll have loads of middle aged middle England white men desperately trying to prove they’re not like him, so will call him and his like bigots, Neanderthals, thick, fascists etc etc. Best ignored
-
Wouldn’t think about it too much, joey Barton has presumably huge financial troubles given his past life and his advisors have given him a few arrows to sling, of which one may hit the target. This one has hit the target. It will ensure he gets appearance slots on many wild right wing media outlets and presumably a book too.
-
It’s the same for our away ticket purchases, and many other clubs. As and when the open blocks sell out, they will open more blocks for sale. If they don’t sell out, they’ll give them back to us.
