Exactly. That’s the context required, and is completely different to your initial blanket statement which suggested anyone insulted by being offered a seat is rude. In an age where we are finally beginning to be aware of people’s anxieties, insinuating that they are weak or unable, heaven forbid pregnant, could be triggering. Someone overladen with shopping is different

Seats are usually offered to the weak, pregnant or elderly. If you’re not one of these, it’s quite insulting for some randomer on the tube to assume you are. Much like automatically applying the oap rate.
-
Absolutely more context needed to this statement. Offering a seat on the tube is often considered a faux pas. Like automatically offering someone the OAP rate, to try to be kind. People take offence and for a reason

That was a lot of fun at white hart lane, 2015. Chelsea in the league cup in 2007 was brilliant, skived school to go. Remember it being a huge day out. Then we got them in the cup a few years later and then obvs played them every year in the Prem.

I agree in theory, but sound financial planning isn’t taught in schools. Some dude off the street is no match for a multi-billion dollar advertising industry intent on his money. Being a British adult and having £100 or so of cash to your name has become normalised.

Not joined millwall, joined the action. I remember hearing there were as many Chelsea/West Ham arrests as there were millwall that night

FA Cup Fourth Round Draw (Monday 7:50pm)

That is a brilliant draw. Plus the other games mean a few big guns are gone -
That was nearly 7 years ago now. The wall are inbred scum but it does seem their misdemanours get highlighted more than others, I had no idea Sunderland fans made helicopter taunts to us, only found out as it was linked to the Millwall news story lol. We have more football-related arrests than them so that seems to show our club cannot control us lot more than they can control their fans? Not sure how else to judge the 'can't control its fans' metric other than by arrests

How many people have priority points
grobyfox1990 replied to Charlie35's topic in Ticket News and Travel
A member who clocks every away game that reaches their level should be further down the queue than a ST who has never done an away match? If you were in this boat, you'd be crying the river that you'd be floating on. Away tickets should be based on attendance at away matches, not sure why that's so hard to understand. -

Why should someone who has an ST who goes to every home match and villa away once every four years be given priority over a member who either cannot afford a commit to an STH because they work weekends, but puts in the miles for midweek aways or unfashionable games. They shouldn't. That is quite self-explanatory. You say loyalty should not be rewarded, much like gig tickets, but then say loyalty should be rewarded because you have an ST. All your proposals are schemes that will suit you and you alone. -

Why should STHs get tickets when members can’t? -

No. P1, P2, P3, all STH, general. As far as I remember it. We’ve always taken good numbers everywhere in my living memory (early 30s). League 1 season was insanely popular. -

Exactly, and that receives almost universal condemnation. -

So gatekeeping away games to those who can afford an extra 50 sheets a year on top of the already ludicrous cost of away matches -

First whining because it's a closed shop and no one new can get tickets. Then whining because new members can get tickets. -
The scale is quite obviously different. Serena Williams can confidently talk and live with men's tennis players, zara tindall with men's equestrian equivalents, figure skating has mixed events at major championships, surely it cannot be long before we see an F1 female driver. It's a disgrace that hasn't already happened with the trash on the grid in the past few years. Female WSL players are nowhere near PL players. Mens championship players are nowhere near PL players. Barton is an idiot that should get a good slap soon, but arguments like this are so ill-thought out and ripe for Jeremy Clarkson types to jump on. The argument should be kept to 'Barton is an idiot' and that's it.

I reckon if you ask most ‘wall’ fans they wouldn’t want to go up. You get some really cry me a river comments on here about ‘sanitised game’ ‘the games gone’ ‘clubs a shambles’ nonsense but they’re prob a minority and will always slavishly and subserviently renew their STs anyway. I reckon millwall fans would boycott after one year in the prem

No one is defending it by saying just ignore it, but the fact remains childish idiocy like this will stop if they don’t get a reaction, simple. Much like the cretins in our fan base with an IQ of 0.1 and a 23-year stint in the public sector singing feed the scousers, it’d prob stop if Everton/Liverpool stopped giving these children they attention they desperately crave and can’t get elsewhere. To compare this abuse to racism is farcical. Racism is ingrained behaviour which inhibits people from living in an orderly manner, with a whole host of other consequences. These idiots are finding a way to have a go at Leicester, next week it’ll be Norwich, then Blackburn…
