  1. Travel a lot where though. Never had it in Europe. Get it in the states, Asia and South America every time. Including most of the time, unprompted, at the border when they see my place of birth
  2. Oh yeh fully agreed leaders aren’t doing ENOUGH right now. But the rhetoric needs to change away from taking climate risk seriously being the ‘right thing to do as a human’ to being the ‘right thing to do to save you a buttload of cash’ As let’s be honest, people relate to that more. And it’s true! Climate risk is costing us all money now! The amount of freaks I speak to who spend every summer in some tinpot village in Italy ‘Oooh so nice the food wowzers!!’ Well you can’t do that anymore unless you can cope with 47 degrees. Your summer holiday to lie on a beach reading a book is gonna cost a lot more
  3. Nothing that I can remember…it was just a good vibe and dirt cheap. the day trip to lake orhid was well worth it, or to the beach 30 mins west. you can hire a driver for that. Few others on this forum were there at the same time, sure they will have specific tips!
  4. I know, I agree with you. This is why I find threads like this disingenuous. Let the climate deniers believe climate denial. We DO NOT want people to believe/be influenced by things they read on the internet, because there is far more dangerous stuff for them to believe then the things on this thread. Hence the posturing on stating 'all fake innit' is worse than useless. But I mainly replied to the original post to say industry leaders are taking climate risk seriously because it hits their wallets, nothing to do with the 'right thing' - future of humanity is irrelevant when money is being lost now.
  5. Ordinary people can and won't make any difference. This thread proves that, what's the merit of posting screenshots of heat waves/storms/extreme weather events and going 'all fake innit..?' or somesuch to impress dudes on the internet. To say we're relying on world and industry leaders to 'do the right thing' is woefully inaccurate and not the rhetoric that should be spread. They will do what is right by their wallets, and climate risk is causing a lot of harm to their wallets, now. We are at a 1.3 degree world with frequent, global, extreme weather events lol, it's nothing to do with 'doing the right thing'
  6. The covid inquiry is as expected hilarious, everyone running to cover their own hinds and blame it on everyone else, whilst at the time happy to take the credit. Also makes me chuckle when I head people saying 'I got covid for the first time!!!'...in 2023... We know how ferociously the virus spread, we know how high the R rate was, we know we locked down too late. Surely we know we have ALL had covid at some point. A cheap bit of Chinese plastic doesn't need to point out the bleeding obvious to you. People still relying on tests is very scary, if you fell ill, take precautions for goodness sake. Don't let Tangjin Inc's leftover plastic stock sway your decisions, use your brain
  7. What a night that was… tone was set with that magnificent display on the kop
  8. Not surprising. The USA is the lawsuit centre of the world, no chance f1 will get away with this for free. Just settle and move on
  9. Christ almighty this is one epic rant. Not quite sure I understand it but I applaud the effort and the amount of swearing involved. But remember, not allowed to talk politics or say cancer on this website, don’t wanna be libellous or offend
  10. In theory yes. But existentially, you kind of do want them to fail to protect our game. You’ve got people who legit believe these Hollywood merchants are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, the love of wrexham and not for money . That’s a scary and hugely pervasive prospect. If owners can convince fans that they love a god forsaken town in north wales and it’s football club via a reality tv show, what next?! Dystopian thought and huge possibilities for control. Unless the initial post was a huge windup and/or a teenager. If it’s not, it’s scary
  11. Ahhhh ok understood and agreed. Completely misinterpreted your initial post and you understood mine perfectly. In which case, I agree with you. Standing up as soon as the plane lands is pointless. As you point out I always let people in the aisles ahead of me go first, even when in a rush
  12. Saw one of a psyched Ferrari fan and another of a bored bloke in a merc cap with huge headphones on. Reminded me of Austin a few weeks back. I got a pic of a woman sitting on the grass reading her kindle, for the whole race. Pretty expensive read
  13. Agreeing with the not liking part, they are fun and likeable dudes, but to watch it and think it portrays actual reality?! To say they’re NOT in it to make money?!? It’s like me watching the beckham documentary and thinking I’m a part of their lives now. Come on… it’s media
  14. Very true, I’m missing the point of the thread! Which is quite…pedantic of me?!?!?
  15. Yeh, so, pedantic… You don’t have to be accurate if the incorrect version holds its meaning and is understandable compared to the accurate version. Valuing accuracy over meaning is, erm, pedantic
  16. Another example of the soul crushing negativity of humans dragging everything down. All I’ve heard online is how shambolic this race will be. Then you get a race like that…
  17. Damn entertaining race, enjoyed that
  18. Yep, at Heathrow and Gatwick you can make up huge amounts of time. Even more important when you’ve got transport to catch. At Gatwick last week I ran through, pushing old people who don’t know how to work passport barriers out the way, and stepped onto a train as the doors were closing. next train was 41 minutes. To say you’re only saving 1 or 2 minutes is incredibly naive
  19. Not for me. I don’t hate them obvs. But you don’t have a clue what’s really happening at the club. You cannot say the owners have fallen in love with the club. You’ve watched a hyped up Hollywood production produced by slick trained media execs, up to you if you buy it but don’t pretend like it’s portraying reality, it’s not.
  20. Never fancied drinking at home, apart from during covid when I’d have 2 or 3 at the weekend. Just back from the pub and at 13.2 units for the weekend so I’m satisfied
  21. Reaction from friends? Normally ‘give me some’ or ‘get me one’
  22. Insane?!? They are going to make mega bucks! It’s a no brainer. Max and alonso might cry about it but they’re not gonna race for $5m a year
  23. The quality in the league is terrible so that’s a massive asterisk against what I’m about to say, but could our first half ‘boring’ football contribute to second half dominance. I’ve yet to see a team, other than Sunderland and Leeds, be able to run past 70 minutes against us.
  24. Opposite for me, do not get hungover now. Age/experience means I avoid mixing drinks too much, regularly drink water and mostly try and get some food into me. That and there's always something to do everyday, can't roll around in bed until 10am on any day anymore.
  25. Yes, loved that route on a Thursday. Golden Fleece and Pav End old favourites. No one struggling with the price of a pint because no one is paying for them! It's full swing xmas party season!!! You've got to be seen to be out and drinking in bonus season!
