  1. As much as I want to see a Ricky playing and either flying down the wing or being a dynamic midfielder, maybe he does not warrant picking at this moment in time due his form?
  2. Cannot read Spanish, so I see no hate
  3. Think he summarised his feelings early on with "..... Leicester, Forest and Everton are all in the Premier League and Leeds are still in the Championship.." so its just sour grapes mingled with his oh so salty tears.
  4. I suppose the other way to look at it is, if we were currently in 2011/2012 leading up to 2015/2016, would we still want him beheaded? He played a part, not matter how small over our fortunes bad and good over the last x years, but because recently we are on the downslope, it seems tragic. Recency bias is a bitch
  5. Lack of any context and stubbornly occupying only one side of any argument is not a sign of intelligence.
  6. The Premier League's thirst for control and profits has dislocated the FA from the overarching control and sight of the full league structure, this allows this loophole to exist, meaning no single body can pass judgements on the whole of the pyramid The now act shocked and surprised at the limit of their own reach.
  7. And that has been the claim all along, that we want the PL to adhere to their own rules.
  8. Kieran Maguire has already said it’s nearly impossible for the PL to appeal due to lack of grounds.
  9. Now clear why it is sensible to do so.
  10. Yes, this is all true, we operated in contravention of the ‘spirit of the law’. However, it is hard to care too much, as the PL is responsible for the rules and they have been found wanting. The truth is that whilst PL and EFL do not cooperate this is always a possibility. The PL has also retained too much focus on the top 6 which has meant neglect of the lower league and their ability to compete (spend) which meant this type of challenge was inevitable, and Forest, Leeds, etc should look to their own processes to not have recognised this opportunity to take the PL to task. It does feel like a long term plan to me, restructuring the financial reporting period to allow this exact claim, and we can legitimately narrow our eyes at that nefarious planning.
  11. PL response of ‘yeah, but you knew what we meant you bastards’ is quite nice too
  12. It’s due to being in EFL at the end of the accounting period 22/23 (we had given our shares to Luton by then) so we were therefore not a PL team and we’re not subject to PSR rules, it’s hilarious. Nick De Marco has played a blinder.
  13. Was this accounting period change applicable to Leicester City only? Or was it all PL/EFL clubs?
  14. The PL have royally ****ed themselves here. So as long as you are in the EFL during your 3 year period you can spend whatever you like. Absolutely moronic rules.
  15. Maybe they did? Chelsea, Fulham, London is still a huge draw.
  16. "That sort of attitude from the fans is why we where we are" "This manager is the problem" "Fans make it like a library" "Last week we were in the Champions League" "Your support is the problem" "Sack the manager" "Attack!" You are right, same old , same old
  17. We cannot disregard facts because they don’t suit our idealised outcome unfortunately. Hoping for greater adventure after these two weeks!
  18. We would be getting battered very frequently, so I agree, and as you said elsewhere, at the start of the season it was all doom and gloom about getting a pasting, and now we are not getting walloped, people are more unhappy?
  19. No he did, he had some terrible injury setbacks, but I meant I feel JJ seems to ‘put himself about’ a bit more than Ricky, who is clearly technically superior. Might be a false impression on my part though.
  20. Seems likely we will just opt for the standard approach of screwing the middle earners to fail to fill the budget deficit, butI suppose we would hate to upset those poor political backers and their lovely lobbyists. Had and still have more hope of a wealth tax under Labour than I ever did under the Tories, but early signs are not promising. Understand it’s self defeating from a political standpoint, but that does not make it wrong.
  21. Would argue that JJ is a bit more rugged than Ricky, this or fitness/form are the only possible reasons I can see for not playing him.
  22. Was that not just media noise?
  23. Not so sure as it was a diagonal all across the width of the goal, it was just (unfortunately) a fantastic header.
