He’s just waiting to finalise the details, the sticking point at the moment is whether hawk tuah is included. Rudkin said he’s got a glowing reference from top and is happy to include it.

They wouldn’t sell him to us for a reasonable fee though. Football is a funny old game. Before July I’d have been well against signing Awoniyi. Now I would be quite happy with it.

He hasn’t played senior football. so there’s hardly going to be loads of clubs wanting to take a punt, especially if we have stipulated that he needs regular game time. Which in my opinion, should be a mandatory requirement, otherwise what’s the point? He goes up there, plays every week and has a decent season and this time next year it will be a different scenario. This is a good move imo.
