  1. Even if he turns out to be no more better than an average premier league player, it’s the most exciting transfer business we have done this window.
  2. No issue, hence I said I was backing it. i was simply suspecting he wouldn’t play them so he wouldn’t be under pressure to play them. Turns out I was wrong anyway, let’s hope they get a hat trick each.
  3. Hoping the Okoli signing was with Faes’ departure in mind at the beginning of the window when the Barca links were popping off. If that’s the case we are shot of one average centre back (albeit are best one) and we can use the dough to chuck on a striker and a 10. Greek lad and Bilal to come in and Faes to leave would be perfect. Theres no chance in hell with rectify out dodgy defence, so we may as well chuck our eggs in the attacking basket.
  4. Announce Bilal the baller!
  5. And he opened his account yesterday, and what a goal it was. Exactly what we are missing. Those who were adamant we shouldn’t sign him should have a word with thereselves. Showed more desire and hunger to drag his team through in one move than many of our players have in 2 full games.
  6. Would have rather us kept souttar than waste money on this lad. We didn’t need to be spending 15m on a 4th choice. We already had a 3rd choice cb that cost us 10m and in big wages, and a 4th choice Cb that cost us 15m. And then a promising academy prospect that could fill in for sick note coady.
  7. It’s more a collecting average players problem tbh. But Bobby was signed as a winger, and has started both our first 2 games. ….on the wing Ayew played as a winger regularly for palace last season. Look at his goals record, if we signed him as a striker, that’s even more worrying. Kasey is a winger. That’s where he plays. We aren’t just collecting players, we are actively signing players that are bang average at best. It wouldn’t be so bad if they were young with potential to improve, but they’re not. Literally 30+ bang average at best players on big wages. One cost us 8m. We are literally a joke of a club, it’s disgusting.
  8. Backing this. have a feeling it won’t happen though because if pereira, mavididi and cannon have really good games and we smash them, cooper will be under more pressure to play them.
  9. I don’t think cooper even knows what style of football he wants, because currently there is none. If we had a clear way of playing that was strategic and we could see the reasoning behind it working on the pitch, I think a lot of us would feel differently. It all just seems clueless. seriously, why we didn’t go in hard for corberan is beyond me.
  10. Perfect, sounds like an upgrade, when can you start?
  11. 1 awesome season.
  12. This thread was inevitable. The stadium will be toxic by game week 6 if we haven’t won by then, and I don’t think there will be a way back for him by then. At that point we’ll have played Fulham, palace and Everton. Arsenal we won’t get anything but then it’s Bournemouth, Southampton, Forest and Ipswich. If for whatever reason he gets to that point but fails to get at least 3 wins from those 4 games, his position becomes untenable.
  13. There we go, fixed that for you.
  14. I actually want Rodgers out at the point, though it started earlier than that. So he’s not on his own. 8th that season was nowhere near where we should have finished, we had already bottled the champions league twice which wasn’t good enough given the context and how we bottled it.
  15. Because we moved from collecting goalkeepers to collecting defenders, then collecting defensive midfielders and now we are collecting wingers. Eventually we will get to collecting 10s and strikers, just unfortunately not this window.
  16. Deadline day signing all over this. Hopefully we can get chilly too on a two for one fire sale deal.
  17. There is an alternative to him being sacked. If he has a lightbulb moment and changes things around then I’d be up for giving him a bit longer. If we perform the way we did today in the next few games he needs to go. problem is, we will be even more unattractive then. Blown 50m on crap. No money left, window closed. Unbalanced squad with zero creativity. …we are down lads. The quicker we come to terms with that, the easier it will be and we can go back to having a laugh chanting things like “we’ve got the ball” again.
  18. He’s going to be even more of a forest legend in May.
  19. It’s clear that we felt we needed to replace one of the out of contract wage collectors with the another. Rudkin masterclass. I may get hammered here, but I though the defensive shift he put in against spurs was good - though he offered little else. Today he was awful. But nobody comes out of that today looking good.
  20. Bilal will be mustard mate😛
  21. Third time this window I think? Soule, Hlozek and now this lad. Fingers crossed it’s third time lucky, I’m not hopeful though.
  22. All of those points valid, still probably our best signing this window. From what I can gather, he is viewed as a hot prospect with a high ceiling - something we can’t say about anyone else we have signed apart from the kid we have borrowed for a year and golding who is probably a way off first team ready.
  23. The problem is that nobody is giving us cash in return. We can’t even give away our squad players😂
  24. Would be even better if they let us give them cannon and souttar permanently for hamer.
