Well Enzo made sure enough players were frozen out so not many felt like they had competition. Pretty sure there were wingers who could have played if they were given enough chances in rotation.

I'd be more annoyed at that if we didn't have a bunch of absolute charlatans running the club and a disgusting attitude from more than half the squad. If it was some poor side that went down with valiant effort it would be a travesty. Sadly Top, Rudkin, Whelan, Youri, Evans etc all deserved it. I think Top quite clearly has asked for a continuation of possession based football and ignored all the glaring shortcomings of the last 15 or so games last season. I think Cooper is a much better manager than Enzo though and he will have far more answers.

I was actually really shocked to see Mcateer get the chance he did last season, and Wanya at the start. It was very un-pep like to bring players through early on. Especially because of the need for instant success. There were even games in the Premier League where Pep would go with less substitutes rather than giving a place to an Academy player. But as the season went on you seen the same kind of stuff from Maresca. Two goalkeepers on the bench was just ridiculous. We're in a situation now where we probably don't have the luxury to risk seeing how some players do. Its all about how many points we accumulate and quick. If we do end up going down then I'm sure Braybrooke, Alves and Nelson are all starting.
