How can anyone stand behind that and determine its only worth knocking £2 off? We get taken for absolute mugs as fans. They just see us as brainless drones who will follow their team regardless so who gives a ****.

Half empty is good for Cov

I was just about to post that I'm surprised everyone is tipping Coventry for play offs with 1 win to their name. They have been in all of their games though and I think Hamer would have been massive for them to get over the line in a lot of them. Similar to how Izzet won us those scrappy games with not much in it in 02/03.

Absolutely what's happened. The pressure of the big clubs was there before VAR so the likes of Ferguson in particular were able to intimidate refs to a ridiculous level. I think there was 7 years with no away penalty at Old Trafford. But all it's done is put the game completely out of the control of smaller teams and all in the hands of a man behind the monitor who can hide behind excuses like 'subjective'. They are more concerned about their mate being scored down for making a wrong decision than they are bothered about making the right decision for the good of the game. All it's done if further highlight how corrupt it all is.

There's a self depreciation from some of our fans that I don't see with other clubs. Maybe it's the older fans who were used to us being a nearly club at the heights of our success pre Martin O'Neill. When we lose there is a 'told you so it's only Leicester' attitude. Thankfully I think this generation see us as better and bigger than teams who bang on about what cups they won in 1980.

If three teams like Sunderland, Watford and Norwich had gone up instead then I'd actually think Chelsea are in danger which is mad. There are some really awful teams that will stay up this season just from the teams you mentioned being that bad. We would never have gone down with them there but we shouldn't have ever been in a situation where it was a possibility with that squad anyway. The only consolation was all the spineless cowards involved have it on their CV for life. Not that that means much in football.

I remember Danny Murphy on TALKSPORT scoffing at the idea that we are everyone's big game but we absolutely are. He said it was Leeds. Maybe 18 years ago when they'd recently been in Europe but it's us now. We are MASSIVE

Random / Semi Unheard of Players you’ve spotted that we should look at

Can we rename this thread players I've looked at on YouTube after they scored against me in year 2027 on Football Manager? -
We're gonna go up and win the Premier League again

It's funny how everyone said there's no point staying up because we'd have just gone down anyway. Our Championship squad is genuinely better than Sheffield United, Luton, Burnley and arguably a few others. We would be fine. It's always about staying up at any cost. As happy as I am we have had chance to get rid of the disgusting attitudes of some players and Rodgers. Don't for one minute think this was necessary.

I've been to two away games.and both sets of supporters after were saying we were class. Likewise every vlog I've seen has mentioned the quality of our away end. Think you have a point last season maybe but this season I think we have been great. About time we stopped this self deprecation so much on here. I don't see it on other forums like this.

We have a lot of players in need of minutes so treat this as a game we need rather than any talk of inconvenience. Mad that Liverpool were looking at Daka before he joined us and now he's going to Anfield as a Championship team's 3rd choice striker.

I'd have loved it if he fell over, rolled, got up and chucked away the crutches like Willy Wonka

Even I felt like getting up and applauding. I didn't though. Just about reached for another Dorito.

I'd be furious listening to that if that was us. Bad enough the absolute bullshit the manager is coming out with without the local radio's commentator sounding like he wants to suck his balls. Like others have said there is so many Rodgers qualities about him. None more than thinking too much of himself and that air of I'm right and the fans don't know **** all. Give me Neil Warnock over a clown like him anyday.

One of many reasons we got in this mess. **** him

You're right, they are better than probably anyone in this division at winning it back which is a huge part of their role. It's when they get it they tend to make wrong decisions. Ndidi is getting a hell of a lot better though with some great bits of skill that created openings. I can't decide whether KDH is trying too hard or there is a level of arrogance about him about what division he is in. He looked a class above against Norwich when he come on, yet today wasted so many opportunities to make something happen. We have more than enough for this league though and I don't think anything will catch up with us by wasting chances to be honest. Okay they'll be days like Hull early on but most games we will have 65% possession and score goals. The opposition won't have it enough to do much. We have seen the standard of finishing. It's if/when we go up that we won't get away with it without real quality.

This seemed like an ideal game for Nacho really. Hope Vardy proves me wrong but nothing about it strikes me as a game Vardy will get much joy

A Maddison replacement for the Championship? I think what we have is fine for this formation. Can worry about needing that level of creativity when we are back in the Premier League. We aren't replacing him in any form at this level. We could go for someone like Chair but I think Maresca wants the ball won back high by this attacking players too. Which Ndidi and KDH do very well. Better than Maddison did too ironically.

If there was a role just for winning the ball back in this team then you'd want Hamza all day long. I'm split with Ricardo's role because he's great at it but I do miss seeing him bomb on down the wings. It's incredible that when he isn't in the team Hamza is doing that inverted role. Couldn't be more different yet playing the same position.

LCFC stewards who go round looking like they've just sniffed a fart. No checks yet though

Didn't really believe him when he said it was all paper talk. Really glad he looks like a professional footballer again but he has a lot to do to make up for being one of the reasons we went down. Glad he has chance to put things right and repay us a bit when others have jumped ship. He just needs to know his role clearly and he's clearly a top level footballer. I don't want to put everything on Rodgers but he has ruined a lot of players of the course of the last few years and I'm glad Wilf now has a manager asking something of him he's seeming to pick up. Never in a million years thought he could play this role so fair play to him so far.

A steward once tried to eject me from Molineux because I was standing (when literally the whole stand was stood up) and I had to show him my seat had come off.
